50-50 on Wemby. How easily people forget that Fultz was incredibly hyped, Wiggins was supposed to be a generational player...as was Ayton. #1 picks are not a sure thing and Wemby could easily become an Oden.
None of those guys were hyped like Wemby
How easily you forget :)

You guys are hilarious. Wenbanyama is the best prospect since Luka.

No one thought Wiggins, Fultz, or Ayton were anywhere close to LeBron level. People are saying Wemby is a better prospect than LeBron.

There were lots of people who didn’t even think those guys were the best prospect in their draft.

Wiggins was supposed to be the next Jordan.

Yeah, Wiggins was the most hyped thing since LeBron. Maple Jordan.

What about Zion? He was the next coming too. I was really bummed we were a year too early with the number one overall but Zion has proven to be injury prone thus far. Is he ever going to get it together?

Wiggins was hyped in high school, he was no longer considered that high after his year at Kansas. Most people agreed Embiid was the better prospect and would’ve gone 1st if he didn’t have injury concerns

It's so funny that a guy that was drafted during a commercial break and was thought to be lucky if they turn out to be a poor man's Diaw became the far and away the best player in the world out of this draft. And, the Suns passed on him 3 times. Sounds typical to me.

Absolutely not. We should draft somebody much younger than that.

Odds we do something by trade or other to snag a first this year? How?

How? We don't really have any assets. Maybe just buying one for cash? But who'd sell?

Maybe Ayton could fetch a mid to late 1st, depending on what else is coming. We could buy into the 2nd round. I hope we do that…like pick 35ish. I’m not sure anyone would sell a 1st.

Maybe we take someone with longer term money for Shamet and get an asset back in return? Same deal could happen for CP3 as well, though I doubt either of those are likely.

Kind of weird the Zach Edey is going back to school. I don't think he can play any better than he already has, and I don't think GMs are going to change their minds on his viability in the NBA.

I think if he can find an open-minded coach/front office, he could be a productive NBA player.

I don't think he's an NBA player. He's way too slow to get real minutes.

Anyone have any prospects they like at 52? That’s our only pick. Any chance we buy some 2nd round picks? Could be the cheapest way to add bodies to the roster.
Jalen Pickett (probably won't be there at 52):

KJ Williams:

Jaelen House:

Drew Peterson:

Souley Boum:

Kobe Brown:

Armando Bacot:

Branden Carlson:

Tristan Vukcevic:

His stock has risen so he probably won't be available at 52, but if Suns got aggressive and went hunting for an early 2nd rounder, this is someone to consider.

I've seen Tristan in the late 1st round. When I was watching the draft combine, he really stood out to me as someone that I would also want Ishbia & Jones to get really aggressive for. This and a couple guys that need development also makes me want Vogel & Ishbia to get aggressive to pry away Phil Handy from the Lakers.

I appreciate that Ishbia may be aggressive to get into the draft, but did James Jones suddenly change his philosophy on rookies? Or is our roster reality forcing his hand?
