Yes, it was very impressive what Miami accomplished, with the roster they had. One decision of Spoelstra's that I didn't like was not playing Herro in game 5, even though he was available.

I like Herro, but Herro coming off a broken wrist wasn't going to win this series for Miami. It's hard to rush a guy back from not playing to suddenly facing the pressure of the Finals. I trust that Spo judged the situation and decided what was best for the team.

There is usually a worry about keeping a guy that was going for the same job and is liked by the players. It sometimes can be perceived as undermining the head coach at times.

No way. He's the highest paid assistant in the league. That matters.

Young will get a fair shot at it, and they'll move on next summer if it doesn't work out.

More importantly, he has Book in his corner. I think Vogel will motivated to embrace Young, not alienate him. I also think Young understands he has a good situation here. He is a hot name right now, and I don't think he is going to jeopardize that rep by rocking the boat here.
