Yeah, Beal/Book would be 1/2 taking turns bringing the ball up.Split T wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 11:14 amAre you wanting more of a pg defender or another big? I guess my question is are you wanting Book/Beal at the 1/2 or 2/3?INFORMER wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 10:30 amI think that's a terrible defensive configuration. Gordon is strong, but he is also slowing and short. Beal isn't a plus defender. Book has made huge strides as a defender, but I don't want him to be the best defender among our 1-3 starters. I think that is an Anti-Vogel lineup.
I think, if you're keeping Ayton, it really makes it hard to find a 5th player to make that group of four work. Kevin Love is the best fit, IMO, which would put Durant at the 3. For teams like Milwaukee that have two bigs, I'd put Ayton on the most mobile big.
Other fits at that 5th starter spot would be Keita Bates-Diop and Svi Mykhailiuk.

Tobias, I'm sorry man. But it comes with the territory of making $40 million while averaging 15 ppg.

Harris is wing/forward version of Ayton. He'll do 5 things in a quarter that'll make you think he's All-NBA. Then he'll disappear for 3 quarters like a role player who has 2 NBA skills. He's also viewed favorably by the box score watchers, much like Ayton.

I'd have no problem with Lowry on the vet minimum.

I would also…I don’t know how it would work though. If they buy him out we can’t sign him due to being over the 2nd apron. But is that still the case if they just flat out waive him with no buyout?
Re: 2023 General Offseason/PostSeason League News
It doesn't apply if it's before July 1, right?

Sign me up, as well.

That's probably all we need for point guard depth, especially if we keep Payne.

And based on the content of that tweet, he also seems to be someone that's a little bit delusional about his actual contributions and value. Players like that, if they're already okay, just stay okay; they don't feel like they need to identify areas in their game that could be better and work on them.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 8:03 pmHarris is wing/forward version of Ayton. Just like with Ayton, I'd be happy to have Tobias Harris, if he made only half his current salary.
Re: 2023 General Offseason/PostSeason League News
I don't think that applies to Harris. He is pretty complete as a player; there isn't much missing in his game. He just isn't a star. And he is getting paid like a star.BKinSJC wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 10:26 pmAnd based on the content of that tweet, he also seems to be someone that's a little bit delusional about his actual contributions and value. I'm hoping the Pelicans exercise the option on Garrett Temple's deal; his salary could prove valuable in completing a trade.
Re: 2023 General Offseason/PostSeason League News
Could the Rockets make a leap next year if they sign these two?
Re: 2023 General Offseason/PostSeason League News
Not hard to leap from the cellar…but they won’t be a playoff team.
Re: 2023 General Offseason/PostSeason League News
Weird seeing as they have a starting back court I'd rather have over those 2.
Love, Hurts.
Re: 2023 General Offseason/PostSeason League News
If they need to create some more cap space, we could trade them Wainright for KMJ.
(Wainright is non-guaranteed until January).

Re: 2023 General Offseason/PostSeason League News
They need adults. I don’t love Brooks(I would’ve gone with someone like Barnes) but I do like FVV for them.
I would’ve gone after a big too.
FVV/Green/Barnes/Smith/Plumlee
Thompson/KPJ/Whitmore/Eason/Sengun
Give FVV/Barnes/Plumlee shorter term deals and let Thompson/Whitmore/Sengun steal their jobs over the next couple years.
