I don’t know if there’s a ton of value from arguing with idiots.

2021 Playoff Roster:

1 Devin Booker
2 Deandre Ayton
3 Chris Paul
4 Jae Crowder
5 Mikal Bridges
6 Cameron Johnson
7 Cameron Payne
8 Torrey Craig
9 Dario Šarić
10 Langston Galloway
11 Frank Kaminsky
12 E'Twaun Moore
13 Abdel Nader
14 Jevon Carter
15 Jalen Smith
16 Ty-Shon Alexander
That Langston Galloway-E'Twaun Moore combo platter Jones served us never made any sense.

Lagnston was coming off a season where he shot 40% from 3. Moore was fine as a 5th-6th guard and vet in the lockerroom for a young team in need of some vets.

I think you can make the claim that Nader and Alexander weren't NBA-caliber players, but Moore and Galloway were.

There were 9 players on that 2020-21 team that you weren't worried about when you put them on the court in the playoffs. Last year the Suns had about 6 (Booker, Durant, Paul, Ayton, Craig, Payne) when they were healthy. And they weren't healthy.

Well, No Torrey Craig, I guess that means Jones will now have to somehow trade for him around the deadline to reacquire him for the 3rd time.....lol!

All joking aside though, for the last available spot with the names left out there. Are there any specific names that stand out more than others? Would it be Oubre or Plumlee or maybe Wood or Beasley? I'm leaning towards Oubre or Plumlee myself. IF Plumlee, then moving Eubanks to backup power forward and Metu to 3rd string SF and waiving Ish for added size increase? Oubre would be awesome for an offensive trio with Payne/ Gordon/Oubre. Am I missing any specific names to consider here?

Plumlee signed with the Clippers. I’d just go get Stanley Johnson…well really I’d get Trendon Watford but it doesn’t seem likely.

One thing to consider when dreaming about another big name coming here for the minimum is the likelihood that the guys we got were promised at least an opportunity when they committed to the Suns. If we do get Oubre or Wood for the minimum, that likely means that Yuta, KBD, etc will be relegated to spot minutes and that's probably not what was communicated to them when they signed.

Congrats to Torrey Craig on his new contract. Hope he plays well for the Bulls. He was a useful bench forward for us in multiple playoff runs.

Which is another reason we are not going to be trading Ayton for multiple rotational players. That’s what I said back when Gambo was saying teams might be interested in DA a week or two into July. We’ve already promised minutes to our free agent signings.

I’m glad Craig is gone. He and Ayton didn’t play well together.

I don’t think that’s the case.

Well, I quite enjoyed the last few days of relatively Ayton-free discussions. Guess nothing lasts forever.

The Ayton talk doesn’t bother me as much anymore because I don’t feel like we are desperate to move him. It’s not the worst thing in the world if he’s here. I also feel better about the chances of a decent return if we do move him.

Well hey I would have kept my bet if Gordon hadn’t signed here. But here he is. :P

He cracked under pressure in late game situations. He was good for us on his first stint here but that's about it.

I think he was overextended here. He's a backup swing forward. Thought he'd have been a nice pick up for the Knicks after they traded Obi. Thibs would've loved his hustle and defense and he'd probably be more effective in those 15-20 minutes backing up Randle.
