For a guy his size, he’s actually pretty good at defending the perimeter, and his 3-point shooting is serviceable.
Granted, he still can’t dribble worth a damn.

I agree on the perimeter defense but I don't think his 3-point shot is serviceable. It's way too flat as he goes further out. There is no room for error. I think he could get better but he needs to work on adding more arc which he hasn't done so far in his years in the NBA. Probably because the team discouraged him anyway.
Ayton shot better than Brook Lopez from three in 2021-22. He’s a better shooter.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 7:37 pmHis release point is too low to improve the trajectory on his 3-point shot. He'd have to rework some stuff to get there and I don't think it would be worth the risk of screwing with one of his most effective scoring moves in the mid-range.

2. Lopez has averaged 4.0+ 3PA per game for the past 7 seasons. Ayton has 80 3PA for his entire career.
Lopez is a significantly better 3-point shooter than Ayton by the numbers and by comparing their shooting mechanics.
By far Ayton's best season percentage on a massive 19 attempts. Every other season under 30% for a career average of a blistering 0.263. He is a BAD three point shooter. Enough with the cherry picking stats. I had to make sure it wasn't Jeremy posting.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 10:00 pm1. We all get participation trophies, orange wedges, and snow cones. At 200 pages, it gets even better. See you there!
It’s hard work. Can’t leave Jeremy to do all the work on this thread.
Sarcasm guys. Give me some credit that was funny.Superbone wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2023 1:56 pmBy far Ayton's best season percentage on a massive 19 attempts. I heard Vogel threatened to quit if they didn't get Ayton's picture up there.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 11:02 pmIt’s hard work. Can’t leave Jeremy to do all the work on this thread.
