I do think who finishes is more important. I think that’s more likely to be EG to be honest.

KD cant be the PF starting. Give me a break Book and Beal will have way less miles than KD. I think come after all star break there will he only one fifth start. Yall got caught too much on Monty’s constant scrambling of the lineup with an injury plagued and post trade depleted lineup.

Why can’t KD start at PF? He’s spent a majority of the time since he left OKC at the 4 and has almost exclusively played at the 4 since he left Golden State

KD should play almost all of his minutes as the second big on the court. His help defense rim protection is critically important. It’s also probably better to have younger legs on defensive perimeter duty.

I don't think we're looking at a 5th starter playing 30+ minutes. I'd like KBD to start to have more size out there with the starters but it's not like he's a lockdown defender or has the bulk to matchup with the bigger forwards anyway. It might make more sense to start Okogie for the first few minutes and throw him on the PGs, pull him 4-5 minutes in and then bring in KBD and maybe EG and start staggering Beal and Book. Then it's Book, EG, KD, KDB, DA the middle part of the 1st. Maybe Book doesn't play the entire 1st qtr anymore and Goodwin comes in with 2-3 minutes left to close out the qtr with Gordon? Maybe Beal comes back at the end of the 1st for EG. Mix in Yuta and Eubanks too. I think Vogel will generally be mixing and matching a lot more overall.

I like this rough plan and I like that we have some genuine options. It would be good to find ways to get our big 3 some incidental rest during games, even for 3-5 minutes a game. Hopefully that pays off with them being fresher come playoffs

I do wonder if KBD can match up with some of the bigger 4s tho. What are the big 4s out there in the league? Other than Utah and Minnesota going big, the other teams don’t feature massive bodies there anymore, no? Maybe if the Lakers run AD at the four again. Am I missing anybody?

Aaron Gordon is chiseled with a strong and tasty physique.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Gordon is somewhere between 6’8 and 6’10 depending on who’s reporting, but he does have incredible hops that KBD lacks. I still like KBD going up against Gordon on defense among our different options tho. Sure better than anything we had last year outside of KD.

Who's KBD? Is B Kevin Durant's middle initial?

I'm terrible with names. Give it 3 regular season games and I'll have this roster down.

And then they’ll trade everybody and you’ll have to start all over.

Right?

"Nah. We don't text. Sometimes I go practice whenever. I run into them at the gym sometimes. But Devin doesn't really play basketball in the off-season and I know Kevin is more about social media at the moment."
