This story is the top story everywhere across America and the world...except FOX News. There is no mention of ANY indictments against Trump anywhere on their web site like always.
They have bigger stories to cover…. Like Greg Gutfields favorite diet sodas of all time.

I went there a couple of hours ago and there was nothing on Trump and the indictments. I was going to post about it, went back first and they had added several stories on the latest indictment at the top of the news. I was shocked.

They're a rightwing propaganda channel. They air what helps them. I'm sure most of their coverage will be about how crooked this all is, how corrupt the DAs, judges, prosecutors, and witnesses all are (conspiracy against Trump!), how all of it is being orchestrated by the Biden Crime Family to cover up from Hunter Biden's crimes, etc.

And yet he's still the likely Republican candidate and may be very well be the POTUS again. How in the fuck... What does ANY of this bullshit even matter.

THIS... I'm afraid of what this could do and how this could be the nail in the coffin for USA. The people have truly lost and every law will be meaningless... It's why he HAS to be found guilty and kept from ever running.

The fact that he could end up President and destroy what’s left of Democracy in America matters to me. Amazing that a man clearly as evil and corrupt as Trump could have as many die hard cult members willing to lay down their lives for him even though he wouldn’t hesitate a second to sacrifice all of them or America if he thought he could make a buck on it.

This. Before he became president, I didn't think it was possible for anybody to attempt to ruin US democracy and divide our country at this level. Now I've been awakened from a horror movie. It really is Hitler-esque. I pray we can avoid a second Trump presidency and I am not a God fearing man.

Yep. I got the 'Breaking News' headline on my phone last night about this latest indictment. We both were pretty ho hum. This used to be big news for us. But each indictment seems to just get swept under the rug or mean nothing. It was basically "okay, fucking great. He got indicted on something else. Meanwhile he's leading early polls and has a strong possibility of being POTUS again. WTF."

The system fails us when people with money and power flex corruption and break the laws. Meanwhile, the rest of us are always up against the maximum penalty for any and all things, near 95% likely to face dire life altering consequences.

My wife was saying the same thing. She says he never has to answer for anything he does. Four different indictments isn’t nothing. He has to go to trial and fight for his life. If he loses pretty much will spend the rest of his life in prison.

No, best case is he’ll spend his life under house arrest at Mar-a-Lago.

I worry that his supporters will engage in violence over his being held accountable. Multiple online Republican influencers are openly calling for civil war and violence.

I’m pretty confident that, if Trump goes to jail, bullshit charges won’t be the reason. It’ll be because he committed actual, provable crimes.

Edit: that guy’s a semi-well-known cartoonist, and not even known for political cartoons but dweeb-in-the-office stuff. I’m baffled as to why he would think his call to arms is worth anything at all.

Call to arms? Exactly who is it that they are going to start running around shooting? The judges, prosecutors, lawyers, jurors, Dems, media and any Republican that doesn’t support Trump? Maga came for Jan 6th and 1000+ were arrested. A few have answered the call to arms and they either went to prison or were killed by law enforcement. Not exactly patriotic if you ask me.

I think this article does a nice job summarizing the indictments in plain English.

They used the RICO act which is the very thing Giuliani used to use against the mafia and now he himself is indicted with it. The irony is thick.

I was reading about RICO. It seems really interesting. One of the main reasons they created RICO, one of its main benefits, seems to be that you can more easily get to "the bosses" behind an organized crime. Before RICO you could prosecute the actual thugs on the ground, the guys you caught robbing the bank or embezzling the money or whacking the guy or whatever, but it was really tough to go after the people who organized the operation, the guys on top, because they were just part of conversations, they didn't actually pull the trigger, didn't actually break into the building, didn't actually commit the CRIME crime. But now with RICO, it's much easier to connect these guys and say that they were working together in an organized fashion to commit a crime or series of crimes for their shared benefit, and therefore they are all liable and can be prosecuted.

That seems like exactly the sort of law you would need to prosecute a guy like Donald Trump, who basically behaves like a mob boss, directing his underlings to commit atrocities in his name while trying to keep his own hands clean.

Yes. I bet nobody is as aware of that as Rudy.

Scott McAfee Has Been a Judge Six Months. He Is Now Assigned Trump’s Georgia Case. The 34-year-old has ties to Georgia’s governor and the Atlanta prosecutor who brought charges against the former president

Interesting; not surprisingly, Trump supporters are already trying to track down the grand jurors who chose to indict him. They've doxxed their names and addresses among other info.
