You got to give Germany their due. They played a very good game, very connected and balanced, and the USA team didn't exactly play lockdown defense in the first 3 quarters. You get what you deserve.

I just ventured into social media. What a shit show of out of touch takes. A lot of American sports fans have a tremendous ability to be self righteous morons when it comes to international competition.
It's predictable reaction

Spoils it for me cause I just wanna catch up on NFL news but I know it's gonna be impossible to not see nonsense

Great game from Germany. But Steve Kerr makes me nervous for next summer.

When the last 3 NBA MVPs are foreign you can’t take your second best players and expect to win. We need to take our best if we expect to have a chance.

USA basketball will be fine. They did better than the Tatum & Mitchell team did during the last World Cup.

We've seen this story play out a bunch of times over the past 20+ years. USA sends the B squad and loses. Then they briefly get serious and send some of the league's best, win gold. Then they start to slack again and send the B squad and lose. I guess it's our destiny. This will keep happening as long as we care more about the NBA title than international victories.

Yea it would be one thing had the team included an all nba team vs the future stars team. The guys on the team are all good ballers, just not great… yet.

One pays, one doesn't. I get why the NBA tops guys aren't interested.

That's fair, good maybe very good but not great players
However we in a time where it's either you Win and Great or lose and Suck or Trash so much ppl not gonna share your opinion
The team composition on the whole to me was still very solid but the story would never be how great Germany was on the day.

I am a broken record when I say that I always repping for the youngsters(stars), love to see the growth season by season, obviously I had Twin out there and I like most of the squad.
It's unfortunate they gonna get totally ripped now and social media will be unpleasant for sure. Will see if they manage to pick themselves up tomorrow

Yep. When we always win it doesn’t mean as much to go. When we lose sometimes the stars have to come back and reclaim our glory it makes it more worthwhile ego wise.
In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

Agree…. It is cool to see the youngsters out there. I’ve helped coach several of my kids rec teams when they were younger. Nothing cooler than watching kids grow and find passion for a sport. Absolutely my favorite part of coaching.

ill correct my previous statement… they need a good mix of youngsters AND All-NBA players. 😉

I still don't think a big that rebounds like a PG and fouls like crazy should've won DPOY. 2nd year in a row it was a sham.

Haliaburton... SMH

So weird to see a guy with such a high passing IQ do some of the dumbest things with the ball.

Fouled down 4 with like 4 seconds left. Hit the first, intentionally missed the second, grabbed his own rebound and ran out for a game tying 3 in the corner.

Not nearly enough defensive effort from the Americans.

Good on Canada for the win, they deserved it.
