Not nearly enough defensive effort from the Americans.

Good on Canada for the win, they deserved it.
Isn't it fitting tho ?
Both teams really didn't show enough on D which hurt them throughout the team.

It was like watching an NBA game
D in spurts
Lots of 1v1
Small ball
Player n Ball movement was minimal

There will always be teams that bring size n physicality to negate that which is when things get tricky if all the A+ guys not playing

Either way still a fun game

The Phoenix Suns are a better team than Team USA.

Maybe that’s why his celebration game was off when Mikal had the miracle finish in regulation.

He honestly looked like he was ready to get the hell out of there about halfway through the tournament.

Steph/Book/KD/LeBron/AD
Dame/Mikal/Tatum/Draymond/Bam

Not sure Mikal would actually make it, but they could really use his defense and shooting on a team that would have plenty of on ball scorers. Who else do you add?

Kyrie, Fox, Jimmy, PG, Kawhi could be others who want to play if the other stars are going.

I think Mikal should be a lock as a high level defensive glue guy. I think Paolo could be asked since he provides a bit more size. Maybe Hali and/or Ant since they'll likely be on future teams. Kerr really likes Brunson but I'd pass on him. I'd add a defensive big like Robinson, Allen or Turner.

So maybe

Curry, Fox, Kyrie, Dame, Book, Ant, Tatum, Mikal, LBJ, KD, Paolo, AD, Dray, Bam, Mitch/Turner/Allen. If AD, Dray and Bam are playing, you probably don't need the extra big and then maybe you add in Hali but we'd have a ton of guards. I don't think JJJ, Ingram, Reaves are worth taking.

Garland didn’t play this summer, but I’d keep him as an option. Mitchell will be too. Also gotta be prepared for a breakout star this year(Cade, Paolo, Maxey, Ant)

What is Bradley Beal, chopped liver? :?

His Olympics stint was cut short last time because he caught Covid--I would think he would be one who would want to be able to actually play this time.

Electing to leave Mikal off of he Olympic team would be a huge mistake.
