I don't think Ainge was near as bad as Allen. Although, that baseball pass to the face of Mario Ellie will go down in infamy.Kryptonic wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:59 amThat or the Celtics... He's very Ainge'y.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:56 amWe need to trade Grayson back to Utah. He’s such a jazz player. Pretty much a clone of Ainge. Take back whatever they offer us.
TRADE: Ayton/Camara for Nurkic/Allen/Little/Johnson

Re: Ayton for Nurkic
AND we gave up Camara and draft picks/swaps? Wow. I'm speechless. Can't wait to hear what Jones has to say for himself.

Re: Ayton for Nurkic
I liked Camara, but he wasn't gonna play this year, Little and Allen will offer far more than he was going to.
Love, Hurts.
Re: Ayton for Nurkic
How are we even going to fit all these two guards?

Re: Ayton for Nurkic
Giving up Camara feels like a gut punch for some reason.
Re: Ayton for Nurkic
They are just guards, all of them can handle the ball and run the pick and roll. It's not a bad problem to have.
Gordon, Allen, Eubanks, Diop/Okogie, Shuta is a very good bench.
Love, Hurts.

I do like his aggression. At least there's that.Wally_West wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:42 amQuestion: could Nurkic have an Aron Baynes type season for us???![]()

Re: Ayton for Nurkic
I’m bummed at the Camara part too. Was (probably irrationally) high on him.
We didn’t give up any pick swaps. That was Milwaukee.
Re: TRADE: Ayton/Camara for Nurkic/Allen/Little/Johnson
I want to go on record as saying that I think this trade blows.
Re: Ayton for Nurkic
Nice post. I've got to think this is part of it.Kryptonic wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:42 amUnless... like Splits been saying; the players were done with his antics. Regardless of whatever you want to say about last playoffs... He didn't even TRY to get on the court with bruised ribs. His teammates seeing his lack of heart and fight showed them everything they needed to know about his commitment. You know damn well KD being a through and through baller knows what good work ethic is; it's why he wanted to play with BOOKER.
On paper... I personally would have rather rolled with what we have, but these guys have to face each other day in and day out and there was some serious stank rolling off of Ayton and his teammates wanted none of it.

I reluctantly agree that he's pretty good.TOO wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:51 amI think Allen is pretty good, definitely the 2nd best best wing behind Gordon. I'd like to keep him.The Bobster wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:42 amNot the whole deal.
All I can say is I hope they have a deal lined up for Grayson Allen to pick up a point guard.

Re: TRADE: Ayton/Camara for Nurkic/Allen/Little/Johnson
Only time will tell if this was a bad trade or not but at least we have moved the one guy who was likely to be a distraction (again!). Hopefully the whole group will now be pulling in the same direction.
Re: TRADE: Ayton/Camara for Nurkic/Allen/Little/Johnson
Not only did we downgrade the center position, but we helped one of the best teams in the league (MIL) get better. We could be facing them in the Finals this coming season, and now they have Dame. Was that a wise move on our part? And we gave up our only rookie, who looked like he might actually be pretty good. I wanted to watch Camara grow here. Ugh, I really don't like this trade. I hope Ishbia saves some bucks though, good job getting under that apron!

That’s overrated/overblown (and perhaps not even true). I will go on record saying that we will not win a championship this season.SunsSince92 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 12:14 pmOnly time will tell if this was a bad trade or not but at least we have moved the one guy who was likely to be a distraction (again!). Can Keon Johnson be moved to a 2-way?
Re: TRADE: Ayton/Camara for Nurkic/Allen/Little/Johnson
Cool... I love your track record lately. Just like you guaranteed we wouldn't trade Ayton.JeremyG wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 12:20 pmThat’s overrated/overblown (and perhaps not even true). My gut is that I don't think we have a better shot at winning the title this season than we did 2 hours ago and I think our chances might be worse.
