Ayton just unfollowed Book and KD. They still follow him.
That is just sad, man.
Lol. Love it. NBA drama that ends up played out on the court is the best. I doubt Book or KD would think twice about it, but enjoy roasting him on the court. Ayton has a thin skin.
Obviously. He always has. One of his big issues. But...not our problem anymore.

Then why keep posting about it? I tell you, y'all are more obsessed with Ayton than I am.

Deandre Ayton Couldn't Wait to Leave Suns
The Phoenix Suns and Deandre Ayton split was coming a mile away.

https://www.si.com/nba/suns/analysis/de ... oenix-suns

Some excerpts:
That was at Phoenix's Media Day. Hours away up North in Portland, Ayton tried selling himself in his new surroundings.

“My name is DominAyton. I play with a lot of passion. A lot of grit as well, but I try to take the hypocrisy out of the game where I’m telling my teammate one thing and I’m doing the other. I’m more like a team player who, you know, I’ll make the sacrificial decision and take myself out," said Ayton.

"When it comes to winning, I’ll be the down-and-gritty guy to get the job done.”

Words certainly didn't match what was previously seen on the court in Phoenix, as one of the last memories Suns fans have of Ayton isn't exactly covered in sunshine.

“Look at the position I was playing in, the environment I was playing in. It can sometimes put a toll on your mental," Ayton said.

"I have accomplished a lot of things where my motor is not a question. Playoffs, no matter what it is, I play the best I can play. I play as hard as I can play. That won’t be a question at all. That’s one of the reasons why I told you guys this summer I would be changing the narrative. I’m with an organization that wants me and wants me to succeed.”

Ayton was asked about the trade itself, where he thanked Phoenix for "accommodating his wishes."
Poor guy. Without his high motor and playoff intensity, I don't know how we'll survive. We had the greatest ever and didn't know it. That's on us.

What I find absolutely crazy is that people are criticizing Ayton for being happy in Portland (or possibly requesting a trade) and are saying stuff like, “that shows who he really is!” And yet everyone admits that he would have been stuck behind three stars in Phoenix, and not even be given the opportunity to reach his full potential. How can you be critical of a man for wanting to be able to reach his potential as a player? If he had been happy staying, I bet people would have said, “See he doesn’t even care to reach his potential—he’s happy being a fourth option!”

I see it more as not willing to sacrifice to win a championship. He's already getting paid.

This... this right here is why we're frustrated with Ayton Jeremy. He say's he'll do the sacrificial thing but sure has a hard time showing it. He couldn't be a team player and just rebound and play defense. He pouted when he didn't get touches. The whole quote is laughable... He's like the boy who cried wolf.

Except he did do it, and helped us get to the Finals. The relationships became a bigger problem than the role.

I think things can change in regards to feelings about the trade when it's learned that Ayton requested out. Maybe it doesn't change a lot, but I don't think that the Suns got bad value out it.

I think that's what he was doing when he stood out of bounds and watched Jokic's repeated offensive rebound attempts.

We should be criticizing Ayton for not taking out a full page in the Republic thanking you Jeremy for all the support.

Ayton’s suspension robbed Book and the bubble Suns of a playoff run. You have to imagine what it was like being his teammate then.

We should all agree to keep all Ayton talk solely in here…I won’t discuss him outside this thread anymore(with an exception for game threads when we play Portland). I probably won’t even post in here anymore…it’s so tiresome.

Damn.. Drew, you're on a roll.... Honestly, that's something I haven't even thought about for a while. I mean I've thought about the suspension but forget that it technically cost them.

COSIGNED. I will not type Ayton's name in any thread other than this one from here on out.

Yours truly,
Superbone

Amended that I can type his name in a Suns/Portland game day thread as mentioned by Split above.
2nd Amendment: When he gets traded, I can type his name in those game day threads as well as the Around the League thread when the trade happens.

Prediction: He will have played for 5 teams or more when all is said and done.
