How’s the forward rotation looking? Assuming Okogie starts next to KD, that leaves KBD, Little, Yuta and Metu competing for minutes off the bench. Who do you see being the top two?

Hard to get a read on Vogel’s rotation right now, but I’d lean towards Yuta and Metu being in the lead.

The ref in front of the Suns bench did a fantastic job tonight.
Anybody else notice Nurk holding the defenders arm to spin him around?

Not worried about a 40pt 1st quarter from the Blazers. It’s preseason and we were sitting half the team. It is what it is.

I fully expect Nurk to get away with a bunch of stuff like this but I also expect him to get caught doing stupid shit this all year as well. It is what it is. Gonna be fun seeing some other teams fans rage post tho.

Anybody else noticed how refreshing it is that Vogel knows when to call timeouts? Monty used to wait way too long until it was too late.

I like that we get the ball over halfcourt in less than 7.9 seconds on offense.

Don't you miss rolling the ball inbounds though?

The issue with deploying this in the post-season is Booker ends up switching onto the big. We're not going to see AD, Jokic, Giannis, KP, Sabonis not fight to seal off the guard and post for a high percentage shot. Luckily DA has no idea how to leverage his size.

This game just illustrated how stacked the Suns are at the two guard spots. Both Beal and Allen sit out, while Gordon shows us he still has it and Goodwin’s play was very encouraging to see. I really liked what I saw from our squad defensively in that second quarter. They played some absolutely smothering defense and that sequence where they forced the shot clock violation just exemplified it. I think they’ll be better on that end than a lot of these analysts/experts are giving them credit for.

Nurkic is a student of the dark arts. He constantly does little things that could be whistled by the official so it'll usually come down to how ornery they want to be with him each night.

100%, I think we'll just have to get more creative scheming around that with the double coming sooner from KD or whomever and guys knowing where to rotate and switch off to on the weakside.
