Suns News: Week 1 (10/23 - 10/29)
Re: Suns News: Week 1 (10/23 - 10/29)
After opening night (tonight’s games not yet included), the Suns are all over the leader boards.
Book leads the league in FG, 2FG, points and turnovers.
KD leads in 2FGA and field goals missed.
Nurk leads in defensive rebounds, total rebounds, defensive rating, and defensive win shares.
Drew leads in blocks.
Okogie leads in FG%.
Little would probably be leading in PER and just about every other per-minute stat if not for the qualifying minimum.

With the latest injury update I believe the Big 3 set to play for the Home Opener which would be kinda ideal
But yeah tonight not being a back to back and Book still having to sit....
Early days
I will not Overthink
I WILL NOT Overthink sigh

Going to be one of those kinds of regular seasons. You never know who you're going to get on the floor any given night with one or two stars sitting, lots of load management. If we don't win a championship, this is going to be a bad experience for fans with this "super team". I'd rather get a great team of stars and complementary players that can contribute night and night out working towards a championship.
In Ishbia we trust, I guess. I remember thinking how lame it must be for the super team fans that always have one or two of the stars in street clothes most nights.

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I can understand the review with Beal as we don't know him that well yet but Book is Book. No way he's not playing if he can unless the medical staff insists he doesn't.

Dollars to donuts, I bet it happened late in the 4th quarter when he slipped and stumbled into a turnover. It was a really awkward fall.

So it’s not even the toe…it’s a new injury
Re: Suns News: Week 1 (10/23 - 10/29)

He’s just making excuses to go watch the DBacks play in Dallas.

Minor amputation should set him straight.

Could it maybe be an overcompensation injury from trying to deal with the toe?Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 5:16 pmDollars to donuts, I bet it happened late in the 4th quarter when he slipped and stumbled into a turnover. It was a really awkward fall.
Is it the same foot?

Yes. And yes. And that was exactly my fear heading into the season opener.Bucktastic365 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 4:00 amCould it maybe be an overcompensation injury from trying to deal with the toe?Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 5:16 pmDollars to donuts, I bet it happened late in the 4th quarter when he slipped and stumbled into a turnover. The team staff should have forced him to sit it out. Same stupid thing happened on Christmas Day last year.

Re: Suns News: Week 1 (10/23 - 10/29)
Last night they reported that he planned to play our home opener on Saturday which conflicts with the other reports we had heard. Didn't the Suns say they were targeting Tuesday assuming the MRI was good?

Re: Suns News: Week 1 (10/23 - 10/29)
Both reports came from Jared Greenberg, the first being a tweet and then later report being in-game update. I don't know what kind of sources he has within the organization. This is a rare situation where if FLEX said something, I'd likely trust it more. He is usually right when it comes to Booker and Suns injuries in general.
