Game Day: Bulls (30-18) @ Suns (27-20), Fri 1/30/15
Game Day: Bulls (30-18) @ Suns (27-20), Fri 1/30/15
Time: 8:30 pm AZ (7:30 pm PT/10:30 pm ET)
Place: US Airways Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: ESPN
The Bulls beat the Warriors and then lose to the Lakers in double OT. They might be a tad tired. We just don't seem to be able to put a team away yet. The Suns still have a lot of growing up to do (on and off the court). If we can win this and end up 6-2 on the home stand, I think we would all consider it successful.
Go Suns!!!

This is a prime opportunity for a win over an otherwise tough opponent. If the Suns can push the ball, not take stupid shots and watch the turnovers, they should be able to win. A couple of big "ifs", though.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

Really curious to see how this game goes. Like with the Wiz, we're catching them on the second night of a back-to-back after they played the Lakers the night before. Double OT, wow. They should be tired. As Laz says, I think we can steal a win here like we did when the Wiz were in town.
Are the Morrii authorized to play, or are they suspended due to their current legal issue?

As of the moment, no announcement on the Mad Morrises. They are both still eligible for the game.
No official legal issue, yet, as no charges have been filed.

Jimmy Butler is questionable (leg)
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

The Bulls always seem to get wrecked by injuries. Part of it is probably their training/medical staff, and part of it is probably Thibs running the players into the ground like he always does. I'm so glad Mike D'Antoni isn't here any more. Can you imagine? He'd be playing 6 guys 30+ minutes, and probably guys like Len, Plumlee, Wright, Tucker would get zero minutes.

Bulls@Suns on Espn is not a good look for us. Last time Rose absolutely posterized Dragic.
This game scares me despite all the breaks we're catching with Butler possibly being out and Chicago coming off a 2OT L.

Don't forget that the Bulls are also facing a lot of front office / coaching drama right now. Rumors that Thibs is on the hot seat (why?!), that they ownership is unhappy with the team, and so on. That seems like a dysfunctional organization where the owners and GM meddle too much in the day-to-day affairs of the team. They're one of the best teams in the league; let them do their thing.

The weather in Chicago sucks. I'm sure that doesn't help guys stay healthy, either.

True, but there has to be hundreds, if not thousands of photos of him not wearing a sleeved jersey.Superbone wrote:Dragic trumps jersey.Shabazz wrote:Your avatar would like a word.Superbone wrote:Literally. By the way, I kind of like them.

I have never thought about it like that before. What about the weather there would make you less likely to be able to play?Dan H wrote:The weather in Chicago sucks. I'm sure that doesn't help guys stay healthy, either.

It's really not that bad once you get used to it. I'd still take Cottonwod winter over Chicago but I like it and I got used to it.

I'm subbed in for this game, is there anybody else gonna be in here?!
Re: Game Day: Bulls (30-18) @ Suns (27-20), Fri 1/30/15
I'm still in the lockerroom. Just checking in one last time. I'll be watching starting in about an hour and a half. Have a good game. See you on the other side.iLLmatic wrote:I'm subbed in for this game, is there anybody else gonna be in here?!
