Yeah, I've been so confused. What Robert Williams are we talking about?

Eventually he has to move out of the paint when they don't give it to him within 2 seconds.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 8:24 pmHe was trying to post up while moving away from the passer. That was very typical of Ayton.
There was nothing wrong with either of his two positionings. Either ballhandler could easily have passed it to him. They didn't even have to bounce it to him, could also lob it up high where only he can get it. Ignoring him didn't work out well for them, did it?

That clip starts after the PnR action. Ayton had position at the free throw line and continued to back into Booker that made the entry pass both more difficult and easier for a defender to provide help on the pass. Malcolm Brogdon is a smart PG, he knows when to pass the ball. Ayton had tunnel vision like he often does in these situations.
Maybe you're just not willing to see it.

It's been like that for awhile...Mori Chu wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 8:21 amThe Inside the NBA guys have regressed. They used to actually talk about the game and the players more. Now they barely talk about the game at all and instead just goof around and make fun of DA for wearing pearls. Not much analysis to be found in that 5-minute clip.

You realize Book is flanking his left side and KD is right there on his right. If he lobs it, KD has enough time to get there.JeremyG wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 11:26 amVideo: https://www.nba.com/stats/events?CFID=& ... %20(P4.T9) What are you talking about? Lol. That's exactly what they should want him to do--back down the defender deeper into the paint to get better position. You all criticized him for not taking advantage when he had a guard on him when he was with us, now you criticize him for doing exactly what he was supposed to do.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 12:16 pmThat clip starts after the PnR action. Only in the middle of the sequence. Then KD started running back to guard the corner three. Trying to dribble through our double team was obviously not a better decision.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 1:07 pmYou realize Book is flanking his left side and KD is right there on his right. He was actively moving away from Brogdon and putting himself in a more difficult position to receive the pass. There's no advantage to be had if his teammates can't reliably get him the ball. That's all I have to say about this hopelessly dumb debate.JeremyG wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 6:53 pmThat's exactly what they should want him to do--back down the defender deeper into the paint to get better position.
