Googled…. Thought the picture of him was 15 years old. Dude messing with a 15 year old girl is disgusting… especially when he’s a multimillionaire and could have pretty much the pick of the litter of girls that are age appropriate. Hope this isn’t true for his sake…. Could be the end of his career.

Well I guess it depends on how old she actually is…but yes it does seem to be illegal(if the allegations are indeed true).

Here in Brazil the consent age is 14. Legally he would be ok, but in terms of backlash, his career would be essencially over.

I feel bad for everyone involved. This girl is going to be an internet celebrity for the rest of her life, and not for a "good" reason. Who knows if she wanted attention or not, but now forever more her name will be associated with this unseemly incident.

And Josh Giddey, if he actually wants to bed underage girls, I'm sad for that and hope he gets help. But if he was bamboozled and didn't know she was that young, I'm sad that he will have tarnished his reputation and maybe jeopardized his career over such a dalliance. Either way, he has been such a promising young NBA player that I'm sad to see this get in the way.

And I'm sad for the OKC team and organization. They have such a great group of young players there and seemed on the cusp of being a really special team. This is the kind of dark cloud that could derail an entire season. Do they have to trade / cut / suspend Giddey? Blech.

It also causes people to bring up past allegations against other NBA players like Kobe Bryant and Karl Malone. Just bad stuff all around.

The age of consent in Oklahoma is 16. We still have no clue how old she is or was when the alleged events happened. The source for her being a sophomore was from 2022 so she would be a junior now (if it's the same girl). It's from a school in California, though, where the age of consent is 18. So if he did it in CA or brought her across state lines, it could have serious criminal implications.
