Some Dems are corrupt, and some Dem policies and decisions have been bad. But the Republicans share both of those qualities, AND they openly want to turn the USA into a fascist bigoted dictatorship. Soo ... not equal?
That’s lazy, expect better of the people you put your support behind

I don't "support" any Dem who has been exposed as openly corrupt. The party as a whole gets rid of them when they are revealed to be corrupt. So, I do expect better and vote my expectations?

Both sides aren’t the same.
Only one side is calling for a Final Solution to the “vermin” who constitute the majority of the country.

And let’s not pretend that “FINISH THE JOB ONCE AND FOR ALL!” isn’t a deliberate invocation of “Final Solution.”
It’s amazing that this isn’t getting more attention.

I’ve heard conservatives say that Hitler would have been a great leader for Germany if not for WWII and the Holocaust. If he’d just refrained from invading Poland and committing genocide, he’d have made Germany great again.

But since his last term in office, Trump has openly talked of invading Mexico and a final solution for the leftists. The last two differences between Hitler and Trump have disappeared. And this country is ready to elect him President. It baffles me.

Nothing surprises me anymore. I just assume everyone around me is nuts.

It's extremely concerning that millions of people in this country would openly support and work to elect someone so monstrously evil. Because, what, the other guy is kind of old? He gave some money to college students? Something something, wokeness? Having to wear masks?

The democrats are as much to blame for Trumps rise. Their last two candidates for the office have been old, corrupt lifelong politicians (Clinton and Biden). If they would trot out a half competent candidate, my gut is they would have won in a landslide and forced the conservatives to take a long look in the mirror. Instead their options are the old guard or the extreme progressives (AOC, Bernie, Warren).

Instead you have the neo-nazi segment of America backing Trump in addition to the traditional conservatives who will just vote for anyone with an (R) and then a more wishy-washy part of society who sees current democrats as weak and tax-mongering. Most people care about their $$$ and livelihood first and foremost.

The thing is, both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden were eminently qualified to be POTUS. You've become convinced that they suck and are corrupt or old or whatever, but they're both experienced, knowledgeable, moderate, tempered leaders. Hillary would have been just fine as President. Joe Biden has been just fine as President. The idea that these candidates are beyond the pale, and that therefore we should elect an authoritarian madman instead, is ridiculous.

Okay, go ahead and do your straw man’s argument.

And I never said we SHOULD. If you start putting words in my mouth I will simply remove myself from this thread. Remember I have never voted for Trump. I said don’t play dumb and act baffled when the country ultimately votes for him because the democratic candidates are the old farts and the progressives. The democrats argument can’t be “we’re not a racist misogynistic piece of shit openly at least, so vote for us!” That’s already lost once, almost lost a second time, and is about to lose a third time. Demand better. It’s not working. Put out a candidate that will win.

Im tired of helping other countries when we have enough issues of our own. Healthcare, education, infrastructure need massive over hauls. Yet we’re sending billions to Ukraine and Israel. Mind blowing.

So let Russia take over Europe and not offer any help? Let China do whatever it wants in the Taiwan and establish dominance over that part of the world? NK invades SK and why should we care? Let Iran and other Arab countries wipe Israel off the map and just look the other way. We saw what happened when we let Hitler do whatever he wanted. If Japan didn’t attack us would we have cared what Hitler was doing? FDR cared and secretly helped. Most were like you guys and wanted us to ignore Europe being decimated. Hitler would have succeeded without the US joining the effort. Hitler wanted it all. We would have been on the menu eventually and we would be alone.

I don’t agree with you guys at all. We definitely need to fix things here. We could be doing a lot more to fix things here if we weren’t so busy trying to self destruct from within and do as little as humanly possible to get anything meaningful done. Instead we are all worked up over wokeness and ignore the important stuff. If the US pulls back from the world the world will self destruct and eventually bring us into it anyway.

You guys see a small picture. I see a much bigger picture.

Yeah, that. We're expected to balance our personal budgets but our government isn't held to the same standards?
