i'm good with the tourny. I think more players will take as seriously as Booker does, and as they should, next season.

this phase is too complicated right now because it's only 4 games and there are too many ties. It should probably be 10 games before advancing.
Ya I like the idea of either playing each team twice or increasing the group sizes. My ideal would be 4 groups of 8(after expansion) where you play 7 qualifying games. Or 8 groups of 4 where you play each team twice so 6 games.

As long as they aren't just having a dunk contest or doing silly shit, I don't see the problem with playing all 48.

Another reason why Book is better than Tatum

Yes, actually trying to make a good play and score is disrespectful to the game and disrespectful to the fans. We don’t tune in to see people trying to score, we tune in to see people holding the ball in garbage time!

Either Tatum doesn’t understand how it works, or he does understand and wants Orlando to purposefully lessen their chances so he and his teammates don’t get their feelings hurt. If Booker is gonna get crap for his double team comment, Tatum should get it for this.

This is interesting (late Eric Gordon 3; we already knew about Book's banked 3):

DeRozen even got ejected for "respect for the game":

Celtics up 30…they might get in after all…let’s see if Tatum plays the 4th Q or not

A few updates:

As mentioned above, Boston is killing Chicago and looks like they will get in now…either as the group winner or wildcard. Their nightmare scenario is if the Nets lose therefore the point differential doesn’t matter for group winner and Knicks blow out Hornets(Currently up 14)

Milwaukee up 2 on Miami…they seem pretty safe even with a loss…

Minny is down 8 at halftime so I don’t think they are winning by 38. We are safe

Houston losing to Dallas by 9 early. Loss there puts Pels in.

Orlando is rooting for the Nets to lose. They look likely to be left out if this Boston result holds.

Knicks look good for the wildcard…the key there is to get above the +22 from Orlando(+18 coming in), so they need to win by 5. Though they need to watch Boston too…if Brooklyn loses they will be fighting Celtics for wildcard bow that Boston is up 29…If that holds Knicks need to win by 12 at least.

Doesn’t look good for Brooklyn…Their only hope was Boston losing and winning the h2h tiebreaker over Orlando.

Boston pulling the starters up 27 and 1:30 left…they better hope they don’t get outscored by 6…a 21 point win would be brutal for them

Knicks up 24…that’s gonna put them in the +40 range and safe in the wildcard. Could even win the group if Milwaukee loses to Miami

The nets game is the big swing game. If they win Orlando is in, if they lose Boston is in. Knicks, Bucks, and Pacers looks safe

Knicks win by 24…they finish +42…only chance they get passed I think is by Cleveland…Cleveland up 22 and would have to win by 35…probably not enough time left in that game though

Cavs got to +29…so if Miami beats Milwaukee by 10 I think Cleveland has a shot

Two things about this..

1 - The NBA did a lot of promotion to get people interested in and educated on how the tournament works. If someone doesn't understand the basics by this point, it's on them, not the NBA.

2 - The NBA should change the schedule format. I think a whole week of IST games, like we're about to see in the knockout round, is better than single nights like they've done with Friday and Tuesday. I think the alternating between traditional regular season games and IST games over several weeks disrupts the intensity a bit, and knowing there will be 2-3 IST games in a row should help players and fans better follow the standings.
