Really solid win. Despite the Magic hanging around and taking the lead later in the game, they were never able to really string together a run and take over. Part of that was because of their offense and part of it was our guys stepping up and turning it on, which in a way was good to see. There was no panic or bad body language or "here we go again" like earlier in the season. I kind of got the sense we were playing with our food a bit.

The Magic are tough, but just not there yet. They need a steady hand/scorer on the perimeter. Luckily Suggs shot 1-50 and no one else can carry them at PG or SG. Franz Wagner and Banchero are really good, Carter Jr had his moments inside. Thought we handled Banchero as best we could with different defenders. Franz gave us problems too because we just didn't have the size to matchup outside of KD. But that was really it.

The 1st qtr offense was a thing of beauty. Everyone was touching the ball, knocking down their shots. Then things got bogged down a bit with the subs and we saw some of that bad ISO ball, missed/forced shots. We were also giving up ORs and a ton of 2nd chance points which kept it closer than it should've been.

We're basically running 7 guys with EG like a 6th starter and then Metu/Azibiuke. Okogie got 7 minutes but wasn't effective. Still hoping Little can fill that 3-D role as a 2/3. It's just not sustainable playing our starters 35mpg. But Beal looked good, really spry. He can take over the offense when needed. Not worried about him at all.

Nope, it’s time. We were basically dead, now we rise like a Phoenix

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Yeah I had swore off watching for a while after the Christmas debacle and skipped the next game. But I wanted to see Beal back and ended up watching the last two. I have definitely been encouraged. I don't expect them to win every game but as long as they are making progress and bounce back after bad showings I am ok with it.

I can't wait to lose my bet to Bone!
Beal with 25 points on 10-13 shooting, a rebound, 2 assists, a steal, and a block but not a “great” game I guess. ;)
I meant what I said. I couldn't wait to lose my bet to you. Any excuse to finally meet up with an old timer on .net that I've known forever. You won the bet my friend!
Dude, I feel the same way. I can’t believe we’ve “known” each other this long and never met in person. But a deal is a deal. He’s got plenty of games to get that 28.
Well, we can all agree it was a great game.
GmSc of 21.9. Did we decide on a threshold for greatness?
