They are ALL corrupt. Just some more than others.

Yup, +1 to this. Happy to have you around in here, In2.Superbone wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 4:00 pmHey, In2, whether I think your sources are valid or not, I appreciate you being in here making your case. It's good to have opposing view points. Until we figure out how to work together as a country, things won't improve. As far as I know, this is the most divisive time in US history since I've been born.

Re: The Democrats
Dems flip a House seat in Florida.
Re: The Democrats
So at least 8% of voters in that district voted for Biden for President and DeSantis for Governor. (Assuming, for sake of discussion, it was the same electorate in both elections.)

Re: The Democrats
This Twitter/X account tracks Nancy Pelosi's various stock purchases and sales, noticing that she seems to perform very well on them. The implication is that she uses insider knowledge from her governmental work to buy/sell stocks right before various legislation goes through. I'm not a fan of that; I know that several congress critters do things like that and it should be (probably is) illegal. I would favor cracking down more on stuff like this. It's too easy a vector for corruption.
Re: The Democrats
I think most of government does this on both sides of the aisles and it stinks and is illegal.

Re: The Democrats
But would they ever really crack down on their own widespread corrupt practices? I'm doubtful. Too much money involved and too many people doing it. It would be another "we thoroughly investigated ourselves and found no wrong doing. Case closed, and if you bring it up again, you are just a dangerous conspiracy theorist...er domestic terrorist, hellbent on destroying our sacred DEMOCRACY". Did I do that right?

Yes we know the GOP wants Trump to do away with Democracy and make it a Maga Christian country where Trump decides everything about everything and of course a President can do anything he want’s legally and that is much better than the fraudulent Democracy.In2ition wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 1:41 pmBut would they ever really crack down on their own widespread corrupt practices? In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

We were talking about corrupt practices in Congress and made a comment on how they would never actually indict themselves, with some comedy on what they would say, and you made it about Trump with your half-cocked slants and beliefs.

I never even heard of Dean Phillips(my bad), until Andrew Yang was on a Spaces last night mentioned his support for him.

Re: The Democrats
I don't see why Joe Biden doesn't exercise his TOTAL IMMUNITY by just having Donald Trump killed, along with every Republican in Congress. It would be perfectly fine, since he wouldn't be impeached, right?
Re: The Democrats
Trump and his lawyers agree. He could only get in trouble if the Dems voted to impeach him. If they are anything like the GOP none of them would vote to impeach him. Republicans wouldn’t vote to impeach because they would all be gone.
This of course is totally ridiculous but, that is the defense Trump is giving.
