Game Day: Suns (26-20) @ Heat (24-22), Mon 1/29/24

Suns play another game. Most likely a loss due to Heat culture versus the Suns lazy passes and don’t worry about getting a defensive rebound culture.

The Heat have lost 6 in a row and 5 of them were ugly. They're going to be desperate.

Do they have any length in their squad? If so we will of course play small ball with very little defensive effort and then we will wonder why we get out rebounded and out hustled.
What we do in life, echoes in eternity.

B2B are never fun, but this is as good a time as any to encounter the Heat. As long as we don't have tired legs, we're the better team.

I’m not as down as most on last nights game. KD played dumb and wasn’t his usual self, he’ll be fine. He human, his has bad games just like anyone else. Beal face is broken so I’m going to give him a mulligan. It might take a few games with a proper mask but he’ll be fine too. When you’re top heavy and 2/3 starts don’t perform, this what’s going to happen.

You can’t win them all.

My main takeaway is, as most have been saying, we need a better bench lol, that bench rotation needs a wing and needs a more dependable center rotation behind Nurk. Can’t wait for Bol to come back because if his recent play is sustainable, that really helps the 4/5 problem we have been having, need to see more tho. Would still want another option that isn’t Eubanks. Completely fine if we trade him.

As for this game, this is a toss up in my mind. Heat really need this game. Not going to be surprised with a win or loss. Pretty confident we’ll will the next 3 after this but getting this one would be nice.

I’ll miss this one tonight because of work…I hope it’s a good one that I feel the need to watch it back tomorrow.

I don't know how you can excuse that 4th quarter. Magic just wanted it more. Thoroughly outworked us.

On top of that, we should have been up 30 going into the 4th. Record turnovers and non-defensive rebounds allowing 20 more shots to the Magic as well as a bunch of missed FTs contributed to that over the first three quarters.

A fully healthy KD warriors lost to a suns team that only won 19 games. Shit happens over the course of a 82 game season, the pistons beat the thunder yesterday. Magic are a good team, not the craziest for us to lose. Sucks how it happened but I’m not letting a couple games dismiss the last 15 games or our recent win streak. Let’s see how we respond to the rest of the road trip.

I do think I’ve been too reactive to every single game this year…I think it comes with us being basically as all-in as it’s possible to be. If this doesn’t work, we really have no avenue to retool. It has to work. It’s just hard that it’s taken so long. I need February 8th to come so I know what we have going forward

We wouldn’t complain about committing 20 turnovers yet again? Really.

I'm like waiting to see a KD is Questionable tag

Last night was so weird
He had some aggressive D on Mo Wagner in the post which led to some chirping. That was like the last time he seemed engaged, almost like he was low on energy or something

I know that’s not his point, but we’re all pretty much giving Beal a pass.

The turnovers, offensive rebounding and shot profile issues seem systemic and are worth some concern.

Ahhh Nurk is back and he brought his incredibly dumb fouls with him on the road.

Better energy from the Suns so far.

Side nore: really hope they pick up an energy guy for the bench. No true energy guys there. Goodwin could be but has played poorly.
