I want to hibernate for a week, to keep out of the highs and lows that tend to happen when I refresh my twitter feed every minute during the trade deadline. Wake me up when it's over.
Remember when a trade for KD was rumored for 6 months straight? I think you can handle a couple of weeks.
It was 9 months. There were literally children born before KD was traded who weren’t conceived yet when the rumors started in May 2022.

My third child, my daughter Polly, was born during the 2021 Finals run; she was just barely alive for the Valley-oop. My fourth child was born this year, during the KD and Big Dick Nurk era. Only my fourth child is pure and lived during no part of the Ayton dark days.
KBD is at 41.6% from 3 in 2024. Okogie is at 33.3%
I have been critical of Vogel and don't think he's doing an A+ job as head coach. But I will give him credit for identifying some bench guys who are not working, pulling them from the rotation, and slowly trying to work them back in, and then keeping on giving them minutes if it is working well. Examples of this include: KBD, Okogie, Eubanks, Metu, Bol. Vogel has also been willing to just cut a guy out of the rotation if it's not getting better, such as with Yuta or Goodwin.
Starting lineup has a 130 offensive rating…they need to figure out the non Booker minutes, but that’s going to come from the guys on the roster. Beal and KD need to figure that out, we can’t waste a rotation spot on another guard. A playmaking 4 would be fine.
I think a more ideal version of this team would be to acquire a pretty-good PG like Tyus Jones and start him, then bench Beal and bring in Beal as the first way-overqualified super sub off the bench when the first of Book/KD sits. You can still play Beal 30 minutes a night if you want, just don't start him. People will moan about a $50m bench player, but he can still close games and still get his 20 ppg. I know this will never happen, I just wish we would get a real PG and let Book cook as a score-first SG as he was born to be.

No no no no no. Booker is the starting PG, the starting lineup is not the problem.
The bench minutes while Booker sits is the issue, taking the ball outta his hands with the starters doesn't solve anything.

I like this. Kind of like the “M&M boys” in the 90s. It works fine if the player accepts coming off the bench.
Another reason to do this would actually be to help Beal thrive also. He seems to be struggling to find his place in the offense.
