It seems dumb to me to give up assets for Bridges when he'd be certain to leave in free agency in the summer. We couldn't go over the cap to sign him because we're over the apron and don't have his Bird rights.

Pretty sure…that’s the rule for players you don’t have bird rights on. Forbes reported the most we could offer him would be 4/41 in the summer. But we could do a 2/19 deal with a PO on year 2 and we’d have early bird rights on him after year 1. Then he could sign for 175% of his salary, which would be about 15 million. So he’d sign another 2 year 32 million deal with a 2nd year PO and he could opt out and we’d have bird rights.

So basically he’d go 7.4/8.8/15.5 and then we’d have bird rights. Certainly could make more with a team that has cap space, but it’s not just a minimum with us.

Other positives: Reggie Bullock, Royce O’Neale, Saddiq Bey, Torrey Craig

Meh: Jae’Sean Tate, KJM, Jeff Green

He’s nothing special but he’s a playable wing. Has some size, will rebound, and hit open shots.

He also at times just loses all awareness of what is happening and tries to do too much on offense.

He does…you definitely don’t want him making decisions with the ball. He’s like if Yuta made shots and provided some level of defense.

Miles Bridges, Nic Batum or bust for me, really. I think this team really needs another front court impact player and maybe a guard to take the minutes away from shit for brains. None of the other scrubs mentioned moves the needle at all.
