They can have DadBod Gallinari. We didn't need a player like that.
Choosing to step into that shit show brewing between Damien and Rivers, etc. shows his judgement is f'd anyway...dumbass...

I don't think the Suns were after him, he doesn't really offer anything the Suns need.

Yup
A real mess over there at the moment
The whole players quit on Griffin thing and management feeling the need to go a different direction despite the #1 seed at the time......

I've seen the Klay mental lapse at the end of the game posted and some Podziemski stuff (who started)

I would’ve liked him…now that he’s off the table I’d just keep that last spot for probably Saben Lee

Kings basically dead center of the graph. The epitome of a good team going nowhere.

I don't know what to make of our numbers. The usual suspects on Twitter keep posting things our defensive rating and we're top 10 in this or that but it just doesn't feel that way when I watch the games.

This is easily my fave online community
Have a good mix of banter and analysis plus we touch on basically everything basketball related even if "Mori" sends out the occasional reminder if Politics creeping into discussions

Saying all that to say.....
Fact there isn't even an All Star Weekend thread speaks volumes
We just some Phx Suns fans but I'm sure if the NBA did some focus groups or something they will see that most fans so disinterested right now

It's really a shame
As for the game, I watched maybe 5mins and decided to start counting how many times the player who got the rebound just dribbled up and took a 3 without passing
I lost count smh 🤦‍♂️

Yeah, that’s a good point. The all-star weekend has lost all credibility. I still recorded it but moved fast through it. The all-star game itself is now the weakest part. What basketball fans want to watch a bunch of jacked three pointers with no defense? It’s not even basketball anymore.

Yes, and no.

They play great regular season defense in part due to having so many playable big guys. They have the biggest roster in the league and Gobert is a DPOY candidate. We've seen him get played off the court in the past, so it's hard to trust they'll keep the same rating in the playoffs.

Their offense is a lot shakier. Edwards is incredible, but he's really their only guy who can reliably get a bucket himself. KAT is the indicator for them on the offensive side. If he's hitting shots and everything else is holding as normal, they're very tough to beat. However, they rely way too much on Mike Conley to be effective to keep things in order. Their biggest slump this season came when he missed a bunch of games, and we've all seen up close how that can play out in the playoffs.

I had a rant to someone yesterday that the NBA should cancel the events entirely. I know it won't happen because there's too much marketing money to make throughout the weekend, but the players simply don't care about the competitive side and the result is the fans also don't care to watch. It's long been a weekend for young fans anyway and it's not a coincidence the people really complaining the loudest are all old.

I'm not even upset with the players effort. I completely get it. Everything they train for is aimed at performing in the playoffs. The ASG is just another symptom of an outdated structure that conflicts with the stuff EVERYONE tells them is most important. This has been the trend for almost 20 years now and it's only going to continue without a significant overhaul.
