I've heard some Dems arguing that this isn't a problem because she didn't start dating the guy until after the Trump investigation/case began. That's what Willis testified. But even if that's true, it's still wildly irresponsible to start banging the other lawyer on your prosecuting team! Also they put the guy on the case team and he's never tried a big corruption or election case before; he can't have been the most qualified person for the spot. State funds are being used to pay this guy, so if you hired him because you want some dick, that's kind of a bad look!

I've also seen Dems saying something like, well, (insert Republican here) is also biased or also had sex with somebody, so it's okay. For example, mentions of Clarence Thomas and his wife, or whatever. But, like, guys, just because your opponents are corrupt ghouls doesn't mean it's open season and you can be sloppy or nepotistic or corrupt yourselves! Morons.

Having sex with a coworker is considered inappropriate. It happens all the time though. You work with these people all day long every day. In my profession it’s a kiss of death to a band. It wasn’t smart of them.

IMO it has no bearing whatsoever on if Trump is guilty or not. We all read the phone call transcription. We all have seen the fake electors. It wasn’t done covertly other than the secret planning. The evidence is right out in the open.

Reprimand these two. Fire them. Banish them to some island. Put them in prison for the rest of their lives. It doesn’t change the facts in the case.

Very irresponsible. It has absolutely no bearing on Trumps innocence or guilt though imo. If she is replaced the Trump team would try to dig up some dirt on the next one and claim they are Satan. This is all about delaying any trials.
Shift the focus and blame. Classic strategies. One is in a stupid sex scandal. The other attempting to subvert democracy and steal votes.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Is it about a stupid sex scandal, which many people have every day, or is it about corruption within the DAs office using government money and privilege?

I don't know. I agree that IF it is corruption within the DA office, that's worse than a stupid sex scandal. However, it would still be minuscule compared to an acting president of the United States attempting to steal votes.

Obviously, someone else will be put into the position to prosecute this, so I would agree that this is minor compared to the charges against the former President.

I'm just giddy. Get f--ked, Trump.

I really hope that she represents him in as many of his future cases as possible. Kudos!

Good summary of some of the specific crimes mentioned in the judgment.

LOL, somebody tried to set up a GoFundMe to raise $364m to help Trump with his fraud case judgment. But it violates the GoFundMe terms of service and they shut it down:

Could be bad news for New York.

Oh no! Why would he ever have invested in a loser state? Glad I'm getting out of a loser state while I still can!

I mean, he can say that, but I'd love to see any data showing any kind of investment / business slowdown in New York due to Trump being indicted for fraud. If you don't run a fraudulent business, you shouldn't be concerned. Most businesses don't do what Trump did.

Also, my understanding is that in the financial sector you basically have to have a presence in NYC close to Wall Street. If you want to move such a business to Arkansas, good luck to you.

Oh crap, turns out I was wrong. Dilbert guy won't be going to New York any more. Big hit to their economy.
