The nuggets missed soooo many wide open shots. We're blinded by the outcome and forgot the process. 4th Qs continue to be an issue and this should've been an L
We scored a whopping 12 pts. If Nuggets shot marginally better we wouldn't have had an OT

You can say the same for us though, we also missed a ton of wide open 3s in the 4thspecialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 7:50 amThe nuggets missed soooo many wide open shots. We're blinded by the outcome and forgot the process. 4th Qs continue to be an issue and this should've been an L

Also I went and looked at each 3 for each team:
Nuggets were 3/13 in the 4th and Peyton Watson specifically was 0-5. He’s a 32% shooter and was left open by design. MPJ was 1-4…maybe got lucky he didn’t go 2-4. Jokic also missed his only one but I feel like I remember that being a bit of a heave. KCP was 2/2. Reggie Jackson was 0-1.
Suns went 2/10. EG was 0-1, Royce was 0-3, Allen was 0-2, and Durant/Beal each went 1/2. Both the Beal and KD makes were in the final 4 minutes.
Seems pretty even tbh. Nuggets are lucky Allen missed both his(they were wide ass open) and Royce was wide open too on all of his. He even stood there and dribbled on one of them before shooting.

Pretty crazy win. I was moaning and groaning in the 4th when we predictably gave the game away. But once we hit OT, somehow magically the team's 4th quarter woes evaporated. KD remembered how to shoot, and that was the game. A lot of guys stepped up tonight in Booker's absence: Grayson Allen was scorching hot with 28 points and eight 3s; Eubanks had a heroic game subbing for Nurkic and seemed like his hands were on every rebound; Saben Lee gave us great backup PG minutes and had that thunderous dunk; Bol Bol had some great defensive plays and bothered several shots. Even Eric Gordon hit a shot! (1-7)
I really don't believe in this team, but maybe weirdly the Nuggets are a good matchup for us this year. Now we just have to keep the 6 seed and hope the Nugs stay at #3...

What we learned from this game : we can be a good team and the non stars can produce at high level when we play sharing the ball.
Unfortunately, 60 games in and we don't do that always and we didn't learned how to deal with 4th quarters.
It's still infuriating how much potencial we are wasting.

Only one team has shown its ass. The suns consistently miss their shots in the fourth, if they even get a shot up. Saying "you could say the same for the Suns," is silly. We could then "say the same" for basically the entire year because that's who we are.
This was an exception for the Nuggets.

The nuggets shoot 37% from 3 on the season and shot *checks notes* 38% yesterday.
The suns were 52% in the 1-3 quarters and OT and 22% in the 4th. Royce and Grayson were 10/12 in all other Q and 0-5 in the 4th.
Yes the suns have consistently sucked at shooting in 4th Q, but they are overall a better 3 point shooting team than Denver. So I stand by my comment.

Love to see it
I'm always more on the glass half full side so I will continue to believe
These two dudes couldn't be missed on the broadcast
Had the time of their lives
Then icing on the cake

Same kid, think this was after a dagger 3 in OT. And even tho he hasn't been healthy a lot, Beal seems like a really good, solid dude. Not a big ego guy or superstar persona.

LOL, I saw that kid in the crowd at front-row left in the Booker 1 jersey. Loved seeing him. Go kid!

By the way, I listened to part of the game last night on NBA Radio on SiriusXM and it was the radio team for the Nuggets. If there are more obnoxious homers out there then I can't believe it. The Suns couldn't score without traveling or offensive foul or some other ridiculous non-call, and every shot the Nuggets made was an and-1 miraculous shot. It was REALLY hard to listen to and it made getting home to the TV and made SVG sound like Hubie Brown in comparison.

Even the kid next to him was wearing a Booker jersey.

SVG was pretty bad too imo. I did not enjoy him.

SVG said that drew Eubanks has had a great season for the Suns. That's when I tuned him out.

Yep, saw him the whole game every time the Suns hit a big shot he was jumping up and down from his courtside seat. Probably drove the Denver fans batty but to their credit, they left him alone (as far as I know.)
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

It took me two days to finish the game. They pretty much cemented their standing as the worst 4th quarter team in the NBA. I wish I could say they were carpenters and nailed it. Instead they laid bricks. Still, they beat Denver in Denver and had a big lead for a long time without Booker. Basketball is so weird sometimes. Teams get hot and cold like switches being turned on and off and you never know who is going to get hot from moment to moment. Denver went cold in OT and Durant caught fire.
That fifth foul on Nurkic was a joke. Murray might have been fouled, but it wasn’t by Nurkic. Nurkic played solid again.

In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

A lot of it has to do with sub patterns, who’s in with who against who? Who’s exhausted, who’s on their second wind? I think Denver got their second wind in the 4th, we got ours in OT.
Yes, this season has been frustrating. But this team has had zero healthy games together. The Big 3 has only had like one stretch of 10 games together. I know it was a bit more, but also Beal with a mask on is not the same Beal. Royce is also changes so much of our dynamic.
Think of it this way, if we had everyone healthy, don’t you think we’d be at least 5-6 games better in the standings?
