You’re just making shit up at this point.

What exactly did I "make up"? That we built a $300m pier to deliver aid? Sources:

That the Israelis attack and bomb trucks that try to drive in aid to Gaza? Sources:Washington — Trucks carrying badly needed aid for the Gaza Strip rolled across a newly built temporary U.S. floating pier into the besieged enclave for the first time Friday as Israeli restrictions on border crossings and heavy fighting hinder food and other supplies reaching people there.
President Biden ordered the pier project, expected to cost $320 million.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/artic ... aid-convoy(Jerusalem, May 14, 2024) – Israeli forces have carried out at least eight strikes on aid workers’ convoys and premises in Gaza since October 2023, even though aid groups had provided their coordinates to the Israeli authorities to ensure their protection, Human Rights Watch said today. Israeli authorities did not issue advance warnings to any of the aid organizations before the strikes, which killed or injured at least 31 aid workers and those with them. More than 250 aid workers have been killed in Gaza since the October 7 assault in Israel, according to the UN.
The eight incidents reveal fundamental flaws with the so-called deconfliction system, meant to protect aid workers and allow them to safely deliver life-saving humanitarian assistance in Gaza.
“Israel’s killing of seven World Central Kitchen aid workers was shocking and should never have happened under international law,” said Belkis Wille, associate crisis, conflict, and arms director at Human Rights Watch. “Israel’s allies need to recognize that these attacks that have killed aid workers have happened over and over again, and they need to stop.”
Israel’s attack on April 1 on the World Central Kitchen convoy, which killed seven workers, far from being an isolated “mistake,” is just one of at least eight incidents that Human Rights Watch identified in which aid organizations and UN agencies had communicated with Israeli authorities the GPS coordinates of an aid convoy or premises and yet Israeli forces attacked the convoy or shelter without any warning.
In these eight incidents, Israeli forces killed at least 15 people, including 2 children, and injured at least 16 others. Five of these attacks were the subject of a recent New York Times investigation that included visual evidence and internal communications between aid organizations and the Israeli military.
Can you clarify what I am making up, and what you think is happening instead?Palestinian lorry drivers delivering aid to Gaza have described “barbaric” scenes after their vehicles were blocked and vandalised by Israeli settlers, preventing humanitarian supplies reaching the territory where much of the population face imminent starvation.
Drivers and contractors who were targeted on Monday at the Tarqumiya checkpoint in the occupied West Bank also said Israeli soldiers escorting the convoy did nothing to stop the attack.
Footage of the incident appears to show the Israeli soldiers taking no action against the settlers.
Re: Israel / Palestine
You give the impression that no aid trucks are being let in and that the few that have got in have been blown up. Hundreds of trucks of aid enter Gaza each day from multiple entry points, not counting the US pier and the airdrops by the US and other countries.
Israel citizens have attacked aid trucks because they don’t want any aid getting in until Hamas releases the Israeli hostages they took in their raid. Hamas continues to hold onto the hostages they took during the raid and refuses to release them. This wasn’t an official act of Israel, it was pissed off Israeli’s pissed off that aid was being given to the people who killed their loved ones and took others hostage and to this day refuse to release them.
Israel claims highest single-day number of aid trucks enters Gaza since war began

The highest number of trucks carrying aid entered the Gaza Strip on Tuesday since the start of the war in October, the Israeli military said. It was further bolstered by an unprecedented airdrop of supplies, including from Indonesia.
The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the IDF unit responsible for liaising with the Palestinians, said that 468 aid trucks had been inspected and transferred into Gaza on Tuesday, including 47 to the Strip’s battered north, which aid groups have said is especially difficult to reach.
The overall number of trucks, COGAT said, was the highest since the war began, surpassing the previous day’s high of 419. Over the past three days, more than 1,200 aid trucks were inspected by Israeli authorities and entered Gaza.
The UN watchdog group says that number is smaller than Israel says and some of the trucks are only half full going into Gaza. The point is that hundreds of aid trucks enter Gaza every day from multiple entry points.

The ICC has filed charges against Bibi Netanyahu.

Israel won't even let the AP film what they're doing in Gaza. Seems like a totally legitimate and normal thing to do!

Palestinian state is recognized by several European countries: How the news unfolded

Norway, Ireland and Spain have recognized a Palestinian state in a historic move. Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris said on Wednesday it was coordinated with Spain and Norway, “an historic and important day for ... Palestine.”
Several other European countries have in the past weeks indicated that they plan to recognize a Palestinian state, arguing a two-state solution is essential for lasting peace in the region.

Re: Israel / Palestine
The rest of the world gets it.
Re: Israel / Palestine
Israel just keeps bombing and killing Palestinian civilians. There really is no excuse for this. And the US keeps supporting them.
Re: Israel / Palestine
LOL, ok, bullshit.
Re: Israel / Palestine
And they're still attacking any aid that is trying to get into Gaza.

Now the Gaza aid bridge broke.

Why the hell did they stick that aid bridge or whatever it was in the wavy rough waters?
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
Re: Israel / Palestine
Because Israel won't let them deliver aid by land.
Re: Israel / Palestine
Why is anybody besides Israel being put in the position of having to deliver this aid at all? This is Israel’s responsibility, not just to let others deliver aid, but to deliver it themselves.

It’s the ocean. Mother Nature decides when seas are rough. The pier was built next to Gaza, where the aid was needed. Where else would they build it?Why the hell did they stick that aid bridge or whatever it was in the wavy rough waters?
I freaking hate having to be the guy defending Israel. I don’t like everything Israel is doing or has done in the past almost as much as I hate what Hamas and the Palestinians have done in their part of this conflict over the many decades this has been going on.. This argument here is pretty one sided so I felt obligated to at least show the other side’s perspective.Cap wrote: ↑

I don’t think Israel sees it the same way you guys do. When the Germans bombed the UK, how much aid did they deliver to the UK? When we bombed Japan, how much aid did we send? How much aid has Putin sent to Ukraine? 70,000 civilians lost their lives in the Afghanistan war. In war you don’t help the enemy until the war is won. You guys might argue the Palestinian people aren’t the enemy. I would argue differently. You don’t vow to destroy Israel for 70+ years and follow it up with attack after attack and get friended on Facebook by Israel.
This war is weird. It breaks all kinds of normal war rules. The good guys and the bad guys are blurred. The weaker party has vowed to never stop attacking the stronger one putting the stronger one on a position to always be defending itself from the weaker one living next door. If the stronger one retaliates, they become the bad guy. They all put the Hatfields and McCoys to shame.
If this is truly a war then like all other wars the war isn’t over until one side surrenders. Has Hamas agreed to release the hostages they took? No. Has Hamas/Palestinians agreed to end their century old war with Israel? No. The Hamas leader is as defiant as ever. Some will argue Hamas and the Palestinians are different things and the Palestinian civilians can’t be held responsible for what their government does. We help the Japanese civilians responsible when we firebombed and nuked their cities. Germany bombed UK cities and civilians. We all bombed German cities and civilians. Russia is bombing Ukraine cities and civilians. They do that to break the will of the people so they will surrender. Is it evil? It’s called winning a life or death war. We are willing to kill your people to stop you from killing our people. The weaker side has vowed to keep attacking the stronger side in this war no matter how many of their people die.
I think most of you will not see any of the points I made. The war sucks. It’s gone on for too long. It needs a resolution of some kind.

Re: Israel / Palestine
Ya the difference here is you see the Palestinian people as the enemy. Doesn’t make sense to me…I know you’re only a 6 year old, but your parents are Palestinian so no aid for you…and if you die, no big deal.
Re: Israel / Palestine
This is Israel’s own occupied territory. Being an occupying power comes with responsibilities.

Too bad you couldn't get enough of the world leaders together on the same page to all collectively put both groups in a "time out" till cooler heads can prevail.
