2024 NBA Draft
Re: 2024 NBA Draft
How does Schierman hold up on defense…he’s a little smaller than I’d like at 6’6-6’7 and 200 pounds…6’8 wingspan

Lmao
I really hope this happens for lulz. I’m dead inside so idc anymore.
Re: 2024 NBA Draft
I like how there are 10 teams working him out, us and the Lakers, but all anyone's talking about is the Suns.
Re: 2024 NBA Draft
Schierman isn't great on D. Freeman is worlds better on that end.

Re: 2024 NBA Draft
He declined the other 10 workouts, so only working out for LA and Phoenix
Re: 2024 NBA Draft
Really cool to see Phoenix be used as a pawn for Klutch. James you genius you.
Love, Hurts.
Re: 2024 NBA Draft
Ah, even more suspect now.
And a kid who said "Only draft me if you think I'm worth it", will only work out for 2 teams and not all 30. I get that's how Rich Paul is handling all this, just sucks we're the ones attached to it.

Re: 2024 NBA Draft
Here’s my conspiracy ass take:
We will draft Bronny at 22 but LeBrons still opts in on deal with the lakers and then comes to us NEXT year.
Next year for Bronny will just basically be a developmental year, with the hopes he can be a rotation piece NEXT year, probably spends most of the season on our New G-League team, which will for sure get a bunch press covering on our new g-league games, at least early on for sure. Remember when Woj said that stupid shit about owners think Bronny can hype up their G-League team? It was just Ishbia saying that dumb shit, feeding talking points to Woj since they have a good relationship.
Then LeBron joins our team the next year and spends his last years in league with his son. LeBron gets his last bag and plays with his son still and our championship window stays slightly open.
This plan does kinda fuck our championship timeline a bit because you kinda are punting next year BUT…when LeBron retires, and he goes on his big farewell tour around the league…he’ll be wearing a PHOENIX SUNS JERSEY to do it in and next to his son. If he wins a championship with Book and KD then that’s just extra gravy.
Story book ending.

Re: 2024 NBA Draft
As long as we don’t have any actual interest in drafting Bronny at 22(assuming LeBron is not coming), I have no problem doing Klutch a favor. Could come in handy down the road.

Re: 2024 NBA Draft
We getting Bronny. Whether that’s a 22 or a trade back. It’s happening. I feel it.
Re: 2024 NBA Draft
So it’s “Only draft me if you think I’m worth it based solely on what I did at USC and the Combine?” LOL.

Re: 2024 NBA Draft
Part of me thinks Jones and Ishbia have such little regard for the draft and rookies that they're willing to punt on the pick, draft Bronny as a favor and just let him sit on the bench and be an NBA player. I think Paul said he won't let Bronny play in the GLeague so using him to draw fans there seems out of the question. I'm sure a lot of owners/execs might've looked at that strategy for their own GLeague teams but Paul is knocking that down right away.
Wally might be on the right track with a 2 yr plan for LBJ. As much money as LBJ has, I just can't him, or most anyone, else walking away from $50mil. But I also think LBJ has plans to retire in Cleveland.

Re: 2024 NBA Draft
I think it’s simply everyone wants him in LA(Bronny, Klutch, LeBron, even Lakers) but Lakers want to use 55 and Klutch is trying to get them to take him at 17 and need leverage…enter LeBron buddy James Jones.
Re: 2024 NBA Draft
I know there's a lot of talk about Bronny, but that's all it is. Talk. The 'draft experts' in the media can't all just say "nah." If they do that they lose a big storyline.

I think Paul just said no 2-way contract…don’t think he said anything about the G league.ShelC wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2024 9:55 amPart of me thinks Jones and Ishbia have such little regard for the draft and rookies that they're willing to punt on the pick, draft Bronny as a favor and just let him sit on the bench and be an NBA player. That's a solid possibility.

And only if you are the Suns or the Lakers.

Re: 2024 NBA Draft
Ya that’s why I think they clearly want him in LA…suns probably aren’t even keeping their pick, so of course they said sure we’ll pretend we’re interested.
Re: 2024 NBA Draft
I really don't think we will end up with Bronny + Lebron. I think (as some others have said) that Lebron wants to stay in LA and wants LA to draft Bronny with their 1st round pick, but the Lakers think the other teams are too scared off and won't pick Bronny, so LAL's front office wants to let Bronny drop till the 2nd round and pick him at #55. Lebron has opted out of his contract and they're working out Bronny with PHX as leverage, to scare LAL into drafting Bronny 1st round. This probably unfolds one of two ways:
1. LAL buckles and drafts Bronny at #17; Lebron and Bronny stay in LA.
2. LAL calls Lebron's bluff, doesn't draft Bronny at #17; Suns jump in at 22 and draft him. But Bronny and Lebron only want to play in LA, so the Suns use Bronny as a trade asset to trade him to the Lakers for the guy they drafted at 17 and/or other assets.

Re: 2024 NBA Draft
Hey... You and I know that but I was trying to let everyone have their offseason dreams for a few weeks before we pooped on them
