He is.

Somewhat of the reason I have major doubts about his NBA ceiling is how he couldn't get on the court during the World Cup less than a year ago. His positional competition for minutes were Kelly Olynyk and Dwight Powell.

Kelly Olynyk is a solid player, although a bit dirty, and Dwight Powell has been a starting center for years, prior to this season.

Neither should've prevented Edey from getting more than garbage minutes if he were really the promising prospect some believe him to be.

And Dwight Powell sucks. He's always sucked. Good for him for being a 20mpg starter on a team that finished 11th in the West last season.

I’m still leaning trade back and pick up future assets…my new target is Portland. 22 for some combination of 34/40 and future 2nds.

If you get 34/40 I’d take Harrison Ingram and Quentin Post. Jalen Bridges, Baylor Schierman, and Bronny James(for LeBron) would also be considerations. I’d also be fine taking Kolek at that point or some of the 1st round bigs if they drop for some reason.
I liked the idea of flipping our pick into two later picks and potential future 2nds. With everyone putting their picks on the market it lowers the value of using our first for a good player.

I’d also rather avoid Edey. I’d rather take a flyer on Wiseman for a couple years.

Wiseman would be an interesting big man project. He at least adds some athleticism…just doesn’t seem like he’s very good at basketball. I wouldn’t want to count on him.

He just doesn't seem to have any feel for the game. I think it's like, he was really good at math in elementary school, slacked off in high school and then was thrown into MIT and couldn't swim. The worst place for him to land was probably GS, as he didn't have the foundation to build on to understand what they wanted and expected, imo. Now, he might be brain damaged in a basketball sense.

I like Holmes..I think he profiles more as a 3rd big, but a useful one. Think Naz Reid, Bobby Portis, John Collins. Can start, but probably a bit of a 4/5 tweener and better positioned long term to come off the bench. I do think that’s still good value at 22 though. I’d gladly take Naz Reid or Bobby Portis for 22

The most Sunsy thing ever would be the following sequence of events:

- We draft Bronny based on one strong workout (and the hope of Lebron coming).
- Lebron decides NOT to come, saying he wants to stay in LA and not take the minimum to come here.
- Bronny ends up sucking after all, so we basically wasted a 1st round pick.
- Ishbia further becomes convinced that the draft is worthless and trades our 2031 - 2059 picks for a pile of Gila River Casino chips and some magic beans.

Remember McDonough taking Tyler Ennis, thinking that Toronto was going to offer up more in a trade to get him?

Ya Philly did it a couple years before when they took Elfrid Payton knowing Orlando wanted him…worked better for them

Kel'El Ware is not a James Jones prospect. He's show far too many instances of low effort and immaturity.

But is he an Isiah Thomas prospect? He drafted Eddy Curry right?
It's funny you mention Isiah, because FF is speaking as an Oregon alum; Indiana alums probably have a different perspective on Ware.

I think Missi and Ware both go before we pick.
I agree. I especially don't think Ware will still be on the board; he was too productive, and has the measurables, youth, and athleticism that most GMs covet.
