NY gonna need to replace Hartenstein

Nurk and 22 for Mitchell Robinson, 25 and 38

Why would we want Robinson if he can't stay on the court?
Picking up the extra draft capital would be nice, and there would be some L-Tax savings with swapping the two players.
The “extra draft capital” being #38? How often does the 38th pick become relevant?

The last ten #38s: Jordan Walsh, Kennedy Chandler, Ayo Dosunmo, Saben Lee, Daniel Gafford, Khyri Thomas, Jordan Bell, Patrick McCaw, Darren Hilliard, Spencer Dinwiddie

That worth anything?

Admittedly, Dinwiddie was a legitimate starter, but still.

It’s worth something. As well as Dinwiddie, Gafford played a key role for the Mavs, Dosunmu can play. It’s actually not a terrible strike rate at that pick.

Ya 3 for 10…and probably too early to tell on Walsh and maybe Chandler(though I’ve never even heard of him so he can’t have shown much).

So, after Shams had a lot of people dunk on him, he was right all along.

Woj is just a hub for agents now, kinda like the Suns.

Would you guys trade Brad Beal for Zach Lavine? I get the sense that he wouldn't move the needle much for us, but I'm curious what others have to say. Lavine makes $40m while Beal makes $46m.

Good deal for both sides.

I’m skeptical of Giddey’s ceiling, but I like that the Bulls didn’t opt for the bag of magic beans in their Caruso deal.

Ya I think it’s solid. Most think OKC fleeced Chicago, but I’m not as high on Caruso as most and Giddey will look better if Chicago lets him have the ball.

Iono, man. Giddey can’t shoot. You saw how he was unplayable in the playoffs. Then again I wouldn’t want to be paying Caruso $20M/year.

He couldn’t play for OKC because they moved him off ball for better players…I’m assuming he’ll play on ball for Chicago and look more like the guy that put up 17/8/6 as a 20 year old.

Maybe OKC wanted to distance themselves from Giddey after his scandal. I think that's not a bad haul for them. And a decent risk for Chicago.

The "scandal" had nothing to do with this trade.

It had everything to do with fit and maximizing Giddey's market value.
