I like that deal for Royce. Fair salary and tradable later if needed.
The per year amount is fine, but the four years isn't going to be palatable for most teams.

But I think when people start talking about moving any of these players, they need to go out and look at who else in the league is making the same amount money, because those are going to be the only guys you will be able to trade for.

So what players that are making $10-11 mil per year are you going to be able to trade Royce O'Neal for?

Monte Morris is definitely a pure point guard. Aaron Holiday isn't really a point guard at all.

The Suns need to add two point guards. I'll take any of Killian Hayes, Spencer Dinwiddie, Monte Morris, Kris Dunn, or Jordan McLaughlin.
Killian Hayes was just cut from the french national team. I think you can get him for a buck.
Go Suns!

What are we to make of this story about Killian Hayes being cut from the French team? Doesn't that mean he is, like, really bad? If he were not really bad, wouldn't they keep him on the team? Or maybe he is a headcase and they didn't want to deal with him?

The French National Team isn't a joke. Ousmane Dieng was also cut. I wouldn't write off either player.

Some other thoughts on free agency:

I'm really curious to see where DeMar Derozan goes. I think he has been excellent over the last few seasons, and I hope he gets out of Chicago for both of their sakes, because that is a dead-end situation.

Jalen Smith would be an interesting fit alongside AD in LA. There is talk that LeBron is going to take a pay cut so that LA can use the NTP-MLE. Depending on what happens with that, and if Russell opts in and is trade for an upgrade, they could have a promising offseason.

Id guess DeRozan goes home to the Clippers after they trade PG in a deal.
Love, Hurts.

Or Lakers if LeBron does in fact take less money

I could see him taking a pay cut and signing with the Nuggets.

I think him and LeBron together would be a bad fit. That's an NBA 2K move, where a team is just looking at names and not fit. The same could happen with the other LA team; trying to fit DeRozan with another non-shooter like Westbrook, and Harden, who basically already has the role DeRozan would need, is just asking for problems.

Ya I don’t think it’s a great fit, but there have been Derozan to LA rumors in the past to join up with LeBron

So the earlier Lee news was incorrect…wonder if Klay leaving convinced him to go back to GS with his brother in law.

Was kinda hoping he’d come back. He’s been with us for a couple years tho, is it possible we bring him back for a little more money too?

Lee probably sees that we have Beal, Booker, Allen, and Little that all play his position.

All of these guys declining their options is a good thing for the Suns. I was hoping to trade Gordon, but I still like clearing out all of the redundancy. The Suns can use these roster spots in better ways.

I think it’s possible we are just giving Lee a little more money.

I don’t mind Lee back..good locker room presence by all accounts and he can shoot. I don’t really expect him to play, but if we have to dust him off he can make a shot.
