First two seasons of The Bear were must see TV. Season 1 had an 18 minute anxiety attack episode, basically. Season 2, an hour+ episode called Fish that is just insane.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
Yea The Bear was great. Binged it the past 2 weeks and just started rewatching season 1 again. Never had second hand anxiety from a show like that before. Great acting, writing and direction.
I mentioned above that I started it. Looking forward to more.
How far in are you?
Just the first episode in.
Let’s hear back around episode 6 I think it was
I binged the rest of this over a few days recently. Thoughts below:

Love it. A mashup of film noir and sci fi, who'd a thunk it? Very creative. Sci fi happens to be my favorite genre so I don't know if that colors my opinion at all but I thought it was very well done. The late reveal (end of E6 out of 8) doesn't bother me at all. I love that these aliens are just as flawed as humans. They can have hearts of gold and morbid/sickening fascinations and proclivities as well. The fact that these aliens knew about and allowed Henry to observe the serial killer does bother me though. It's mostly on Henry but the fact that the others allowed it is inexcusable.
Sugar's missing alien sister should add a whole new complexion to S2. Also really like how that helped to motivate him so strongly in this case. He was not to be stopped until he got to the bottom of it.

Really looking forward to Season 2.
Glad you loved it and summed it up perfectly. Not sure there’s been a show surprise me as much as this one did, maybe….
I finished 3 Body Problem the other day. Interesting show. Glad to hear there will be a 3 season arc.
Same…. I get irritated when they start something and don’t finish it.
But the ship scene….. yowzers.

Yeah, that was amazing. It cut through everything and everybody in horizontal slices. I kept wondering what would happen if you had laid down flat on your stomach. Could you avoid it or would you just get split lengthwise?

Finished the first season of Dark Matter. Really enjoyed it and will be interesting to see where future seasons go.
I don't know about you guys but I feel like AppleTV+ has really done well with their allotment of shows, especially with science fiction.
Totally agree. My wife and I finished Dark Matter on Friday. I enjoyed it too.
"There are 3 rules I live by: never get less than 12 hours sleep, never play cards with a guy with the same first name as a city & never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Everything else is cream cheese."
I knew right away that the masked man was the protagonist. I mean, he had the same voice. I don't think it was meant to be hidden too well. Anyway, looks fun. Always a wild premise when dudes get to sleep with different wives. LOL. Version 2 (or is he the original?) got right to it.

lol I mean it’s Jennifer Connelly…. Not that the “queen of the south” isn’t any slouch I remember when Jennifer Connellys movie “career opportunities” came out…. Been a fan since lol

Oh, yeah. She's always been a stunner. High on my list of most beautiful women. She stunned in A Beautiful Mind too.
Just added Career Opportunities to my movie watch list. Never saw that.

I struggled with 3 Body Problem. The story didn't make sense to me and there were too many plot holes and questions and things that I thought were cheesy or silly. I wanted to like it and do like the cast, but overall I thought it was "meh." I'll try Season 2 when it comes out, though.

I guess if you made it to the end, something grabbed you enough to keep watching. Suspension of disbelief is king!
Saw Horizon at Fat Cats. The best place to see a movie. I have been there several times for other movies and this was the most people at a movie there I have ever seen. Six people. Usually I am the only one in the theatre. You reserve the best seat ahead of time and it’s a recliner. I had Red Vines on the left, a pizza on my lap, an extra large soda in the cup holder and a big bag of popcorn on my right.
The movie was ok. It didn’t seem like three hours to me. Kevin Costner doesn’t even make an appearance until about a half hour into the movie. This was the first part. They built up the characters and started a couple of plot lines. The movie gets to the end and for what seemed like 10 minutes they played parts of scenes from the next movie. Definitely anticlimactic. I will probably see the next one just because.
