Once again, I've said it over and over. Nobody to blame but democrats for not having the balls to push aside their demented leader to bring forward a candidate with a pulse. Essentially anyone remotely likable could beat Trump. Bidens gonna lose and you're all gonna whine about it
Those assholes didn’t listen to you? I can’t believe that.

1852 was the last time and only time it happened in US history. Franklin Pierce was pro slavery during a time where being pro slavery wasn’t cool in Washington.

You don't boot an incumbent US President from his job. He decides for himself. He’s been in Washington a long time and has earned a lot of respect from his peers. Even Mitch McConnell has come out recently saying he likes Joe and that he is a good guy. Obviously not everyone respects him. The Dems were never just going to boot Biden. That’s not balls. That’s just disrespect and disloyalty. Many Americans probably like Joe and he is President. Someone was just going to boot him somehow and that wouldn’t divide the party? It is no doubt a sticky situation. He needs an intervention and needs to bow out gracefully. They should have pushed aside Joe a long time ago? Preposterous.

Biden’s Presidency has been a good one for me. I pretty much agreed with everything he did. I thought he handled everything pretty well. I don’t know if it is him or his advisors but, his actual actions I have been very good IMO. I realize a healthy portion of America will disagree with that and offer me all kinds of reasons he’s Satan but, I certainly don’t care. He’s guilty of being old and being in office too long. He needs to step down on his own. Maybe an intervention but, HE needs to be the one.
He got the boot
Biden stepped down. He didn’t get the boot. Many may have wanted to give him the boot and pressured him to step down but, Biden had to make the call and HE was the one.

How come we haven't seen him in what, 12 days?

It has been reported that he has Covid. It’s most likely a coverup and they quietly left him behind an igloo in Alaska. Or maybe Kamala kidnapped him and used a serum to make him say he was stepping down. Or maybe he’s not really Biden at all but an alien that is malfunctioning due to solar flares.

What's the insinuation here? You do a great job of dropping a sentence or two that's some sort of bullshit, or a link to a conspiracy from some nutcase Twitter account. When we call it as bullshit and ask you why you share such bullshit, you say stupid stuff like "it's just something to think about" or "it's not my opinion" or "it's another perspective". You never firmly stand behind anything and do the passive aggressive shit that drives me mad.

The only firm shit I've seen from you is the sudden chest out confidence and dickery comments and things you've shared lately when it was becoming close to a guarantee your dude was going to win as he challenged the deterioration POTUS. Otherwise you love to stir the pot and when called out, back peddle as if you don't go down the rabbit hole of QAnon and other nonsensical bullshit when you know damn well you clearly do. Own it or shut your trap.

Trap stays open. I'll take your clear opinions, your own non-dickery comments and advice into consideration though

We still have several long months till the election and should all try our best to tolerate each other, even if we get frustrated with each other's opinions or way of expressing them. I hope we can keep it civil. If nothing else, hearing the person give their take tells you what people on the other side are hearing and thinking, which is useful.

Wish your Uncle Joe my best.

He was basically given the boot. It was the classic "resign so it doesn't look as bad" when a company gives an employee an opportunity to "resign" instead of being terminated.

But sure buddy, keep thinking that despite the Avalanche of pressure, it was all his call under no duress.

No doubt they all wanted him gone. I wanted him gone. The point is HE had to say it and not anyone else. Yes, they put a lot of pressure on him to pull out of the race. They didn’t boot him because they can’t and it would have made a lot of Democrats angry. We can argue this all day. Nobody booted him. He pulled out.

Some new polling of Trump vs Harris from Reuters. I don't fully trust the polling here until we get more time to get to know Harris as a pres. candidate, but it is interesting. Standard disclaimers about polls being shitty.

Polls are all over the place. Kind of meaningless at this point imo. The regular Dems and Cons are going to vote their party no matter what. A tree legged dog named Tripod with rabies would poll decently against Trump if that was the choice. They are all really just courting the undecideds. I don’t know how anyone can be undecided at this point.

Ipsos is pretty good, bump is not inconsistent with what I think I am seeing. But let's wait, polling could be inaccurate with N = 1000, and the bump itself could be short term.

I mean until this week our 2 candidates both sucked…I think it’s very easy to see why people would be undecided.

I see your point. The die hards won’t be swayed one way or the other but, I see where the undecideds will have a whole new equation to decipher.

Edit: I can only see how she helps the equation for Dems.
