Trump 2024
Re: Trump 2024
Undoubtedly. We know he has the brain of an adolescent. Apparently his brain never fully formed and stopped at about the 7th grade.

Or to be more Trumpian, “Chameleon Kamala.” It would also play to the part of his base that believes in reptilian/lizard people.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 8:46 amIf Trump wants an insulting nickname for Harris, "Chameleon Harris" is right there. And it hits at a core criticism of her, that she just says what people want to hear, that she modifies her positions on issues to suit the moment. This stuff is too easy; fascist campaigns should hire me.

Trump killed it during his interview with Musk tonight!

I was wrong about Trump slurring on the call; his campaign spokesman says it must be my hearing!

Re: Trump 2024
So it seems that media outlets have been leaked a bunch of Trump's campaign's emails and other documents and have decided not to report any of the contents. This after they breathlessly reported the details of every leak of Hillary Clinton's emails in 2016. This is the right decision, but I love how the double standard applies to each party here. Would they have the restraint to keep this stuff private if Biden or Harris's emails had been hacked?
Re: Trump 2024
And Trump demanding they not publish any of the hacked material after praising the leaking of Hilary’s emails. Trump being Trump. When the leaks benefit him they are the greatest thing in the world. When leaks don’t benefit him it is a national security breach that must be stopped at all costs and not shared with anyone.

That's kinda his thing, self preservation, dude cares about nothing else. How his cult believes otherwise will never make sense to me.

Wait…do you really think that Politico, the New York Times, and the Washington Post are biased against Democrats?Mori Chu wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2024 7:21 amSo it seems that media outlets have been leaked a bunch of Trump's campaign's emails and other documents and have decided not to report any of the contents. There is a huge difference from 2016. Those documents had already been published by WikiLeaks, so they were already public. That’s why the media reported on them.

Re: Trump 2024
I don't think those outlets are "biased against Democrats." I think they desperately want to be perceived as fair and even-handed, so they try to equalize things that are apples and oranges. They bend over backwards to normalize and sanitize frankly insane conduct from Trump and the GOP so as to appear to be giving them their due. They report just as much on Democrat scandals and gaffes as those of Republicans, even when the Dem ones are more insignificant in number or import. None of this is bias against Democrats, but it is a misguided attempt to "un-skew" their coverage by emphasizing and de-emphasizing things so as to hopefully appear unbiased and trustworthy.
I mostly think the mainstream media has completely lost its way. They still have value and I do think most people who work in it are trying hard to do the right thing. But they haven't figured out what they are and what they should be in the 2020s post-Trump era. As others smarter than me have said, they SHOULD be biased: toward the truth. If one candidate says it's raining and one says it's sunny, don't report the disagreement and controversy; report what the actual weather is and say who is right.
As for these Trump hacked emails, no, I don't want them to release or report on them if they are illegally hacked by a foreign enemy. I just want to point out that Trump/MAGA would eagerly want the info released if it were a leak/hack of Dem email, and they would roar and scream about media bias against them if the "mainstream media" refused to report the contents.

Re: Trump 2024
If Kamala and Walz pull this off, the Republican Party will fade into a regional entity, still dominated by Trump, strong enough to control the South and the high plains but not strong enough to win nationwide. Look forward to seeing that day.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2024 11:01 amI don't think those outlets are "biased against Democrats." I'd love the likes of Sununu and Larry Hogan to rebuild a loyal opposition but I am skeptical at this point.
Re: Trump 2024
Trump didn’t give a damn where they came from as long as he could use it against her. They hacked Trump this time and his stance is the polar opposite because it’s him, not because Wikileaks did or didn’t put them out there. I would bet my house that if it was Kamala who was hacked instead of Trump, he would be all too eager to get that information out.JeremyG wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2024 10:51 amWait…do you really think that Politico, the New York Times, and the Washington Post are biased against Democrats?Mori Chu wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2024 7:21 amSo it seems that media outlets have been leaked a bunch of Trump's campaign's emails and other documents and have decided not to report any of the contents. The crooked fraudulent media as he says, is saving his ass. Wonder what his stance would if n a week Kamala was hacked too and the media was sent the data.

BTW, Trump and his campaign are still overtly racist:
