I can't tell what you're implying, exactly, but in that same interview Wembanyama specified KD as a player that he does think puts in the work and that he admires.

Yea... I'm an idiot and have no idea why I said that. The guys a gym rat... When not in the gym he's usually watching a game at all levels. It was a totally dumbass thing to say. Just thought for some reason it was going to be some hot take and it was going to be KD. It's the world we live in

To be fair I'd guess at least half the NBA sees it as just a job and I think that's what he means. Wemby seems to genuinely live for basketball, which is scary for the league tbh. I don't believe most guys are that way.

He was doing pretty well with the Bulls before the injury. Out more than 2yrs and still comeback is full credit to him.

Good for Lonzo. I always liked his game. It must be devastating for him to have had such a serious injury. Hope he'll be able to play all season and stay healthy.

How many years now has Kawhi been hampered by knee problems? 5? 6? Basically the entirety of his Clippers tenure has been marred by injuries. Love to see the stat on $ paid to him vs # of games played. The superteam that wasn't. And now PG13 is gone, so they're stuck with only 1 superstar left, and he's gimpy. Clips probably going to be one of the worst teams in the West, despite their excellent head coach.

I hated that whole family when they first burst onto the scene with LaVar’s big mouth. Lonzo’s a lot easier to root for since his father has shut up.

Kawhi seems like this generation's Grant Hill or Penny Hardaway, but in reality he does play a bunch almost every season. He played 68 games last season. Obviously, he's not super healthy. But he still plays every season and plays well.
