Yep, it wasn't looking good. Philly was on fire and up 5 with a couple minutes to go. Then HOF KD did his thing. Ball game.

Edit: looked her up. Sophie Cunningham. She's got somepictures. Apparently a Mercury player. Was she on Suns games last year as well? Definitely looks familiar.

There’s been so much positivity coming out of you SS that I’m frankly a bit worried.specialsauce wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 10:49 pmWe would've lost the last two games last season. I'll take it.

Good game, a bit closer that we probably would've liked but glad we got the win. The Sixers are a scrappy team, they remind me a lot of the Clippers - not a real big team (at least without Embiid) but physical with tough shotmakers who play and defend really hard. Lowry's annoying, Yabusele had a very good game all around and shot the ball well, Maxey's always a handful. They shot 20-51 from 3 while we were 11-32. Just one of those games where it felt like they couldn't miss.
Vintage KD game scoring the ball, he can make it look too easy when he's on like he was. Beal had a strong game, Nurk with 15-15 but also 5TOs. Royce and Grayson gave us good minutes again off the bench. Book with a rare off game, just couldn't find a rhythm and it looked like he didn't have his legs under him.
Still need to clean up some TOs - the KD and Nurk 2-man game has to stop. Nurk gets those TOs credited to him but it's really on KD to stop passing to him on the move and down the lane into traffic. Some of the cross court passes are too risky/lazy also. But I did like that we had about 3-4 baseline cuts that led to easy looks at the rim. More player movement like that has been needed and we have the talent to really hurt teams passing and cutting instead of just going for jumpers.
Dunn with only 10 minutes but again, didn't feel like there was a matchup for him. Maybe there's some regression there with teams planning for him plus Royce and Allen are playing really well. I don't know that sticking him on Maxey would've worked either.
I wish we could find a way for Monte to get some minutes - maybe for Book or Beal. Bud seems to have settled on his 8-9 man rotation tho. Our Big 3 are playing a lot of minutes so far so something to keep an eye on.

I was going to make the same observation, but also thought I might be wrong.

Nurkic still fucking sucks ass. Ship his ass out. Better???

I wish Beal could get more shots, he offers more dynamism than Booker does offensively, especially with the ball in his hands.
Love, Hurts.

Gotta give Nurk credit. He played well, and didn't get in the way of the rest of the team. He really shines against smaller or slower centers.
Great game from Durant. Beal was so efficient. I hope we see him get more opportunities when his elbow is recovered.
It's great to see the Suns tough out these close wins. Now we need to see them consistently do what works so that the games aren't all so close.
Dunn wasn't great in his minutes, so maybe we jinxed him. I'll talk less shit next game. More than his individual performance, the Suns just weren't good when they went smaller.
How's Booker getting 38 minutes when he's playing so poorly and Allen + O'Neale are playing so well? Where's Monte on a night when Jones and Booker are both a bit off? The Suns have a ton of depth; there's no need to stick with guys who are off.

Beal's looking good in his role, more comfortable picking his spots and shooting off the catch.

I couldn't log in last night either, and had difficulty accessing the site sporadically during the game. But everything seems to be working now.
Great game to watch! The rest of my family was asleep so I couldn't yell as loud as I would have liked, but I've been really impressed with our resiliency this year.

The site's been a bit choppy lately for me. A lot of server error messages over the last week or so.

Didn't want to make a new thread for this, but we are having some issues with the site and its database this week. Some users have been unable to log in or access the site. I'm investigating but have not yet found a fix. Thanks for bearing with us.
