Around the NBA: Week 8 (12/9 - 12/15)
Re: Around the NBA: Week 8 (12/9 - 12/15)
Haven't seen any connection to a potential Butler trade, just that they're trying to save some tax money and Bryant was looking for an opportunity to play. There may be a 3rd team involved who takes on Wiseman.

I don’t think it changes much…they are actually still under the 2nd apron…just need to remain under it after the trade. Butler + a vet min is still the trade package for Beal

I'd definitely take a flier on him.

Great trade for the Warriors. Nets just practically gave Shroder away. Wonder if it's because they want to tank, or because Shroder is a pain in the ass in the locker room.

Let's hope it's the latter.

Schroeder is one of those assholes

So we end up with a Milwaukee-OKC matchup in the NBA Cup Final. Two of the five smallest media markets in the league. I'm sure that's just what the organizers and sponsors were hoping for.

Re: Around the NBA: Week 8 (12/9 - 12/15)
BRY wants to tank for sure. But this price is not uncommon for a player like Schroder on an expiring contract. I mean, nobody was going to send a real 1stR for him, so this is probably the best BRY can do and, by executing it now, they 'protect' their tanking.
I am interested to see what happens now with Cam Johnson, who is having a terrific season himself and is under a long term reasonable contract. In this case, if they get less value than 2 decent 1stR (or equivalent) I'd consider that a fail, and they should have no problem finding suitors at that range.

I guess. But those are both good teams, and they are both fun to watch. The NBA should be happy it isn't some garbage like ATL / HOU.
