Suns and Warriors are his top choices.

Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
I did read a rumor about how the warriors don’t want to include Kuminga or Wiggins lol so I’m not sure how the math works on that. Schroder is eligible to get traded again before the deadline too.
Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
There’s no way Wiggins wouldn’t be in a Butler trade. It just doesn’t make sense money wise unless Wiggins or Green are in it. It would have to be like a 5 for 1 trade to make the salaries match otherwise.

Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
Assuming they keep Schroder, they'd need to involve many players until reaching almost 40M in salary. Slomo, Hield, Payton, Looney, Podz, etc. Absurdly difficult.Wally_West wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 2:16 pmI did read a rumor about how the warriors don’t want to include Kuminga or Wiggins lol so I’m not sure how the math works on that. Wake me up when we start talking trades for young super stars.. I'm done with even being interested in 35 year plus guys.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm on board with the idea of bringing Butler here either. Trading a 31 year old injury prone player for a 35 year old injury prone player who is also a bad locker room presence doesn't fill me with optimism. Financially it makes sense and he's arguably a better fit alongside Book and Durant but it feels like he could be the catalyst for an implosion that we really don't need.

Ya I strongly disagree with the bad locker room presence comment as well. His attitude is exactly what we need. There’s no one on the team who will call out KD/Book right now and KD/Book aren’t the types to call out their teammates either. Jimmy is. This isn’t a situation where we have a bunch of Ayton’s that will get all mopey if we get on them…I think our guys will respond. They just need someone on them when they slack off for a bit. CP3 didn’t allow it and Jimmy won’t either.

In summary - this team needs a heart transplant.Split T wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 8:36 amYa I strongly disagree with the bad locker room presence comment as well. His attitude is exactly what we need. That’s a good way to put it…and Jimmy just might be that heart…even if it only has a couple years left before it gives out.

Given our restrictions…. Himmy is our last ditch effort before blowing it up. Himmy or bust at this point.

As badly as I didn't want CP3 or Lebron to be tied to our only championship, I'd be cool with Himmy. Love the way he carries himself and if he won a title with us it would be part of our legacy as well, not just the HIMMY Butler legacy like it would with LeBron or KD.

Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
They lost their leadership when Paul and Crowder were traded off and I think the team greatly underestimated the hole that would leave. Booker and Durant aren't leaders. It's a quality you have to have in your character - you have to be willing to ruffle some feathers sometimes - and I don't see anyone on the current roster who has it.

Or an implosion that we really do need. Butler or blow it up.SunsSince92 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 5:10 amYeah, I'm not sure I'm on board with the idea of bringing Butler here either. Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
Has CP3 ever been called a locker room cancer? Butler has been branded that several times during his career and that's what concerns me. I totally agree we need someone to get onto Book and KD but do we really want someone who has the potential to generate friction right across the org?Split T wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 8:36 amYa I strongly disagree with the bad locker room presence comment as well. Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
I think CP3 rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Jimmy threw his teammates under the bus in Minnesota, but he was probably right…those guys weren’t serious basketball players. I’m not worried about that here at all. Jimmy wears out his welcome, but we only need him for a couple years. I’m not worried at all. It wasn’t until year 5 in Miami that he started having issues…and in those first 4 years he took them to 2 finals and an ECF. Sign me up.
