Jimmy Butler trade rumors
Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
Well there could be a deal with Denver around MPJ. The Rockets have the salaries to make it happen with Brooks, Adams, Sheppard. Bulls could do LaVine for Butler.
MPJ would give the Heat a young "win-now" piece who could fit nicely next to Herro and Bam. Denver could give the Nuggets the juice they've been missing on the perimeter and a chance to win. The Rockets deal breaks up the contract and gives them an ending contract, a defensive irritant and a young shooter. The Bulls deal seems less likely. Bulls aren't close to winning and not sure how what kind of terms Jimmy's on with the org.

I do think Orlando probably says no, but Beal isn’t as bad as we make him out to be. He’s still putting up 18/3/3 on career high TS%. He’s a bad fit here with 2 other guards who are too small or don’t want to play D. Orlando could use his scoring and shooting and can handle his less than stellar defense/size. Suggs is a great POA defender and they have a bunch of size with Franz/Paolo/Goga.Kryptonic wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 3:27 pmBeals a net negative in any trade and Orlando isn’t taking broke dick beal. We’re paying someone to take him or going to have to buy him out.
Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
Bulls don’t want Jimmy back, but they could be a 3rd team. Denver is kind of interesting. They could solve their Jokic off the floor problem by getting Jimmy.

Sure his stats are ok…, for a guy making half what he makes and is healthy. Dont let the stats fool you…. What good are those numbers if you never know if you’re going to have the guy available? The guy has missed almost 1/3 of his games this season.Split T wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 4:03 pmI do think Orlando probably says no, but Beal isn’t as bad as we make him out to be. When you're playing less than half the games, and that's being generous, who gives a rats ass about his career high TS% or any other stats for that matter. He could average 45 PPG at 75% FG and if he's giving you 30 games and probably missing playoffs games if you make it, who cares about those stats.Split T wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 4:03 pmI do think Orlando probably says no, but Beal isn’t as bad as we make him out to be. What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

The suns being bad is messing with your perception. He’s on pace to play 56 games this year. Yes he’s injury prone and yes he’s overpaid, thats why talking about role players like KCP is even a question. He’s a lot better than KCP, who’s been really bad for Orlando this year.

Wow. Brad would never do this.
Something to think about, Mr. Riley
Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
Where is Butler's agent now? All that nonsense about his client not wanting out. Oops
Love, Hurts.

We'll be lucky if he plays in 45. I'd safely wager the under on 56. It's not just the fact that he's always injured, it's the fact that his injuries are hip bruises (tonight) and other little things he can't play through. He's like Mr. Glass with the pain tolerance of my 5 year old daughter.Split T wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 4:24 pmThe suns being bad is messing with your perception. This is why the NBA is losing viewership. It's the sport where athletes seemingly care less and less about the organization they play for, the city, the fans, each other and their coaches. It is the sport where the player truly has the most power. There was some sound bite recently from Anthony Edwards, upset that he's being double teamed and commenting that it isn't fun to have to pass the ball.
So much isolation basketball. Lucky if there are more than 3 passes most possessions. I've watched less Suns games this season than I did during most of our tragically lean years. And we have the 2nd highest payroll in all sports (NBA, NFL, MLB). It's become pathetic. And we're cheering for this parriah and poor team player to come to our team to save us. Reverse course from the 6 and 17 stretch because surely he will find his joy on the court playing with a bunch of losers that could care less about anything more than themselves.
NBA basketball is shit these days.

My CBA proposal, with its Continuity Subsidy, would give players an incentive not to act that way.AmareIsGod wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 10:49 pmThis is why the NBA is losing viewership. Exactly. He is impossible to root for. He's the softest player to ever don a Suns jerseyAmareIsGod wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 7:20 pmWe'll be lucky if he plays in 45. I'd safely wager the under on 56.
