Never in a million years would I root for a team with Dillon Brooks on it.
Dillon Brooks can go sit on a cactus as far as I'm concerned, but, if he arrives along with 2-3 1st round picks and cap relief, he can come on over. Start the rebuilding process. The first step is admitting you have a problem.
Id rather eat the cactus that Dillon Brooks sat on than watch him play for the Suns.
Eesh! You do know that he has to not only sit on it but spin?

If Butler doesn't happen, or even if it's available, I keep going back to Gambo saying Jan 15 is when suns will look at where they're at.

Jan15? Not a coincidental date. That's when several players that reached extensions with their own teams are eligible for trade.

Who is eligible ? Most notable is Nic Claxton, who makes $27M. Him plus Cam Johnson combined make less than Beal.

Throw Beal+our '31st that way in a 3 team deal to get those two. Wherever Beal goes can send an expiring and a pick to BkN.

Me likey.

6 options, but you're missing the most obvious one to me

instead of rebuilding around (a diminishing) Booker, yet again (and being crippled by his super-max pay when he really should be your 3rd most valuable player to win), trade Booker and continue the championship quest with Durant for 2 years then rebuild.

so - option 7. Trade Booker and unload Beal with him, for someone that better complements Durant and a defensive center

Durant will never ever win us a championship as an alpha. Hes the most beta legend ever. A bus rider of epic proportions

After watching him in a Suns uniform for as long as I have, I'd have to agree. He only works on a ready made team like that Warriors team he joined after he couldn't beat them.

We should build a time machine, go back, and not trade for KD and Beal.

I’m a Booker fan, no way I want to see him traded. My hope would be for Beal and Nurkic to be gone. Unfortunately, those are literally the 2 most difficult players to trade on this team.

i agree with that. The 3 stars on the Nets took turns instead of playing team ball, and the 3 stars on the Suns take turns. Durant fit nice as the top scorer on the Warriors team that played team ball, and i believe he was Finals MVP. That said, i do believe anyone that can give you over 30 points any time he wants to, shooting a high percentage, playing relatively smart on both sides of the court, is an asset on any team looking to compete for the ring.

Booker would be your #3 on a championship IF the other 2 guys overall offensive/defensive performances are better. Given his max salary, he's a negative on any team, but i do hope other teams agree with the local fans.

the tv announcers and local talk radio has been working hard to repair the perception of Booker's value this past week. Luckily he had a couple of good games to back them up. But my guess is, they know the fans are turning on the Suns, and that includes Booker, but they've been informed Booker will not be moved, he's still the face of the Suns (i.e. the Suns product) so, they've been tasked to restore fan faith in the product.

Nurkic, however, not getting off the bench seems to indicate he is being moved.

“He can’t even get time for the f***ing Suns?” doesn’t seem great for his market value.

That's true, but at this point any trade involving Nurk is going to be a negative-asset trade, such as the hypothetical one where Charlotte unloads Williams (injured, bad teammate / locker room guy, making more money on longer years than Nurk) as their real benefit for trading for Nurk.

To be clear, his salary is lower than nurk…just has an extra year

We've hit desperation time, so here's a crazy idea.

Trade Booker and KD for maximum assets. Let Beal play the same role he did on the Wizards to rebuild his value. Trade him for assets for the rebuild.

Regarding Nurk, buy him out. Refuse to play him if he's being a biyatch. You're not going to get any value back for him.

This is the smartest, most practical way forward. Which means it has zero chance of happening.

There's no rebuilding Beal's value. Everyone in the league knows who and what he is. So you're keeping the one with the least amount of value and duplicating the Wizards plan where he's the best player on a losing/rebuilding team that wins 25 games and think THAT'S going to make him more attractive to teams?
