Look out NBA..haha…in all seriousness, I love this. Richards is a solid nba center on a good contract. He works if we go all in or if we blow it up. Signed for 5 million next year.

We got him, boys. Now Plumlee can go back to his proper role as a backup. I know Plum has gotten some hate on this site in the past week or so, but he's been trying his best to fill a role he didn't originally sign up for and was never meant for. IMO he'll be much more acceptable as a bench center than trying to play 30+ minutes and start.

I don't think this will be a huge turnaround for us but it's a good move in isolation and we don't give up too many assets for him. I support this trade.

Good stuff, glad we got the deal done. We got back a 2nd rounder this year which should have some value for us or another team.

Makes sense as to why Okogie didn't play yesterday.

So we gave up all our 2nds…but got back the Charlotte 2nd in 2025…our 2nds were Denver/Boston 2nds so we kinda won that exchange. Charlotte pick will be in the 30s…

It will be interesting because we like to use our 5s in the short roll…Richards seems more like an at the rim guy. Wonder how that will look and if Richards can dribble or pass out of the short roll at all.

Solid trade. Richards is not a star obviously but has the size and athleticism we have been sorely lacking at the centre spot. The Hornets second back is a sneaky good part of the deal too.

Now use Oso at the #2 center and give Plumlee spot minutes.

Nvm, Gambo was wrong at first…it’s a Denver 2nd we got back, but it is 2025

I loved Okogie in his time here but we need Richards BADLY! Thank you Suns and Charlotte.

I'm happy with the deal. Getting Richards isn't the answer, but it's a step in the right direction. Probably the best big they could actually get. I would have preferred giving up one less 2nd, but after last night, Suns were desperate.

Think we are stuck unfortunately…leave him at home for the rest of the year and then waive and stretch him this summer.

I don't think effort is going to be an issue with this guy.
