Around the NBA: Week 14 (1/20 - 1/26)

It's also a little weird because whenever the Knicks play at Barclays it's basically a Knicks home game.

I was just recalling your reaction to a possible trade where we end up with Dillon Brooks.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Oh, then yes, this is warranted. If they ever acquire Dillon Brooks I'm moving to Seattle and living outside the Sonics future stadium.
Love, Hurts.

Pretty big loss for the Mavs. Didn't believe they were shopping Gafford, can't imagine they'd be looking to move him now.

It’s Nurkin’ time.

Nurk would be great for them. Big body, very physical, can hit the 3 ball reliably, smart in the short roll working with Doncic, accepts his role on a reasonable contract.

I see what you're doing...and I like it.
Re: Around the NBA: Week 14 (1/20 - 1/26)
I don't see why Beal would be a good fit with Dame and Giannis, both guys who like the ball in their hands and like finishing plays. IMO it'd be just as good/bad as beal with Book/KD. That is, not so great.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 8:59 amBeal is not as bad as he has been on the Suns. He is definitely as soft and unavailable, but he is capable of 20 ppg when he is engaged. This current stretch is particularly bad because he has checked the fuck out

Beal has been better for us when he’s off ball. Beal doesn’t need the ball

Yeah it he can come off the bench and stagger with them, it'll work they just have to stay healthy that's allMori Chu wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 11:18 amI don't see why Beal would be a good fit with Dame and Giannis, both guys who like the ball in their hands and like finishing plays. Re: Around the NBA: Week 14 (1/20 - 1/26)
He is deadly from the corner three, and generally as a spot up shooter. But if you don't use his playmaking ability you are not remotely getting your money's worth out of him. That was the gross miscalculation when we traded for him. And probably what will happen in MIL too, although mitigated to some extent by the fact that Lillard is a PG unlike Booker.
Re: Around the NBA: Week 14 (1/20 - 1/26)
Just looking at his numbers here, his best scoring situations are off handoffs, cuts, spot up, rolling..not as good in isolation or pnr ball handler. I think you can give him some ball handling responsibilities, but I’d want most of his scoring opportunities starting out off the ball.Ring_Wanted wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 11:36 amHe is deadly from the corner three, and generally as a spot up shooter. You think anybody’s gonna fall for it?
Guess it doesn’t hurt to try.

Nurk could unlock Doncic off ball better than Kyrie. Dallas fans can just call him Big D.
