At the end of the day, we'll need a pick to send out with Nurk.

If there's no Beal/Butler trade we need to just send Beal away. I feel like there's just better chemistry, flow and rotations without Beal in the mix.

I’d just sit on Nurk..no need to move him. Leave him at home…not worth blowing a 1st unless we get a useful player.

I don't know if you sitting on Nurk will be helpful, but hey I'm willing to see if it helps if you are.

Why did we trade a (likely high lottery pick) future 1st for three low-quality 1sts? Does anybody actually want these trash "worst of 3" 1st round picks? This feels like a one dollar for three quarters trade to me.

It would be a bad look if we traded the 2031 pick like that in anticipation of the Butler deal and then the Butler deal fell thru. I don't think we had the rug pulled out from under us like that because you'd hope the FO would have their ducks in a row where the Jazz trade was the last part of the puzzle.

There's still no telling where the 2031 pick will land tho.

Ya nothing good ever comes from late 1sts…we should probably just ditch that Ryan Dunn guy we drafted at 28.

Also trying to predict a pick 7 years out is impossible…to say it’s likely to be anything is just not accurate.

I'm still not a big fan of going after Jimmy, but hear me out:

With the win against the Nets, the Suns are now 7-3 in their last 10 and 20-8 when both Book and KD play.

For those of us who don't believe in this squad, we've got to understand how Ishbia and the front office are looking at it. This is a squad that had a very rocky stretch when KD and Book were out and out of rhythm, but has otherwise been very good. We have an excellent bench, and one of the best scoring duos in the league. From that perspective, Butler (for essentially nothing - sorry, Brad) seems like a move that could fix the starting lineup and take this team over the top.

I've said before that I don't believe this team can stay healthy (and Jimmy does not help that), but it would be crazy for Ishbia and Jones to be as ready to quit on this team as some of us are. They are going to continue to look for better size and defense, and they are going to believe that they can keep building on the move. They aren't going to even consider a major shake up until after the playoffs.

Ya I get that…but I think the 3 picks create more options for us going forward…I’d rather be left with those 3 picks than with 2031 pick if we miss on Jimmy.

Yea I meant that our 2031 pick could be in the teens or 20s. Everyone assumes we'll be in cellar and it will be a top 5 pick. It's too far out to predict any of that.

Ya I agree with that…7 years is a long time…for context, Cleveland still had LeBron 7 years ago..We get their 2025 1st…Imagine how excited you’d be to get that pick unprotected 7 years ago knowing LeBron was going to LA…it’s gonna be 29 or 30.

That three is more than two!

Just then, along came old blind Bates
And just 'cause he can't see
He gave me four nickels for my three dimes,
And four is more than three!

And I took the nickels to Hiram Coombs
Down at the seed-feed store,
And the fool gave me five pennies for them,
And five is more than four!

And then I went and showed my dad,
And he got red in the cheeks
And closed his eyes and shook his head--
Too proud of me to speak!

For all we know, all three picks could be better than the one we traded.

Yup…. Drafts are always gambles. You can have number one that checks out after his max extension. There are definitely diamonds in the rough. Also…. What was the point of the new scouting and development team if they’re never going to utilize it?
