Suns are looking at a BUNCH of deals. Basically leaving no stone unturned to find ways to improve this team.

There’s a possibility that just stand pat and do nothing and wait till the offseason to try and do things.
Thanks, Flex.

I like Sabonis but as good as his numbers are he can't seem to elevate his teams. Maybe it's the team/players around him but I also wonder if he's a bad tweener - too slow for PF, not big enough for C. He's not a shotblocking threat and also doesn't shoot a lot of 3s which he and the Kings have tried focusing on this year.

I'd be a bit disappointed if no deals were made but I think it's understandable given the cap restrictions and lack of assets. I wouldn't make a deal just to make a deal and teams aren't exactly giving up anything of value for Nurk.

He shoots 2.5 3s per game at a 48% clip. He's just fine as a C, elite offensive hub and rebounder.

I’m hoping that Nurk stuff means they won’t trade him with a first for nothing…they should absolutely trade him for nothing if we don’t have to attach an asset.

Beal is absolutely somebody that will keep them in the playoff hunt. We can also trade them Nurk too. Perfect back up to sabonis. Heat gives us butler, they give all the picks to kings. Hell well throw in a one 1st too. Why not, everyone wins.

That would be ideal…I don’t think Nurk makes sense, but

Fox/Huerter to Miami
Butler to Phoenix
Beal to Sac

Works. Obviously Kings need picks, but Miami should send most of them. I’ll send two. Maybe Sac also gets Jovic

Miami would go Fox/Herro/Jacquez/Bam/Ware

That’s honestly a fantastic team. Highsmith could start instead as well.

I also think Beal would work well in Sacramento…he’s been at his best for us operating off handoffs and that’s most of the Sacramento offense with Sabonis.

With Ozempic Nurk starting both Sabonis and Nurk together in Sac Town would make for a formidable front court with Nurk's improved lateral mobility since the injections and that offseason 3pt shooting work to improve his stroke

If Sacramento trades DeAaron Fox and the primary piece they get back is Bradley Beal, their fans should burn the arena down.

That will mean 3 of the 4 players we got in return for Ayton and Camara (two current NBA starters) leaving for nothing. What an awful trade. Take a look at what Camara’s been doing lately.

Still addition by subtraction. Ayton was just a higher paid Nurkic.

Grayson is still the best player in the trade, but ya Camara has been great. I don’t miss Ayton at all, but including Camara looks like it was a mistake…we should’ve kept him for sure.

Grayson was the best player in the Ayton trade. So we still win the trade. 😤😤😤😤😤

I still don’t understand why we had to include Camara in the trade tho. Oh well.

Edit: didn’t see Split post, but yeah I agree haha

We just folded by including him…There was no salary reason to do it…let them keep Keon Johnson and we keep Camara…though we would’ve had to cut somebody(which in hindsight would be easy, but at the time was tough). Or we could’ve sent them Jordan Goodwin instead of Camara.

I agree with Jeremy that Camara was the worst part of the deal. :P

Unless we trade the pick, looks like next year we get another chance for a Too many Cameras James Jones special.

Random but splitting the draft into two days is stupid. This isn’t the NFL.

Getting off Ayton's contract was the biggest win of the trade. It remains a big win. Portland hates Ayton and would love to have him vaporized into thin air and go away. I absolutely do not wish we still had him.

The two regrets re: Ayton for me are roughly:

- Wish we had traded him to Indy for their package focused around Myles Turner
- Wish we had found a way to hold the line and not include Toomany Cameras in the Ayton/Nurk trade

But despite the above regrets, I would still do the trade today exactly as it was done a few years ago. We got a good year out of Nurk last year, and we've gotten 2 good years out of Grayson Allen, and we got off the Ayton contract. It was a positive trade for us. If I could push an "Undo" magic button today, I absolutely would not.

I think it makes sense for the teams. Last year literally every 2nd round pick was traded. It lets them reset their board and make moves. It was for them, not for fans.

I don’t think very many people were paying attention to the 2nd round anyways.
