Ayton content’s gotta go somewhere, the old thread is locked.

Politics content’s gotta go somewhere… okay, maybe it doesn’t.

Blazers fan call it the Tumani Camara trade. That’s tells you all you need to know about DA. They drafted his replacement after year one. And Don’t tell me that Clingan stats aren’t that impressive. He’s a rookie on a bad team. He doesn’t need to be all star day one. They are playing the long game with him. Also every team in the league would take Clingan over DA. Every team.

There’s a legit possibility DA’s next contract might only be a minimum deal. I think that’s unlikely but the chances aren’t zero.

How many minimum deal players average a double double without it being a shock?

He has averaged a double double every season of his career. No matter how disappointing he may be and though he is worse than his stats, there’s no way that’s a minimum salary player.

Andre Drummond averaged a double double for 8 straight years and then signed a minimum deal. Hasn’t had the minutes, but he’s continued to produce at a double double rate too

I did say it was unlikely but Tyus Jones is a really good player too and he is currently on a minimum contract. DA has use but no is ever going to pay him anywhere close to what he’s getting now. Jock Landale, a minimum contract player at the time, was out playing and finishing games over DA in his last season. I’m just saying there’s a possibility where a majority of teams with money decide that they are better ways to spend it then giving DA a contract.

Not sure if I should put this in the news thread but since it’s trade related I just put it here with all the other trade slop.

Doesn’t mention any specific player we are for sure looking at but Duane’s speculates it could be Bogdan Bogdanovic based on contracts.

Looked up his stats this year….holy shit are they bad. I get why Hawks want to get rid of bogi lol. 37 percent from the field, 30 from 3 on almost 6 attempt
Shooting 24 percent from 3 in January. 32 years old with 2 more years on his contract.

Honestly, I don’t understand why we’d give up a 1st. Unless we getting like 6 seconds back. This trade would be dumb.

I’d be more interested in Larry Nance jr. Expiring contract, can be back up C and PF. Plus his dad’s connection to the franchise too.

It’s boring and I’ll be disappointed, but if Jimmy is a no and trading KD is a no, I’d stand pat…moving 1sts just to get off Nurk and Beal is gross to me.

I’d move Beal and a 1st for LaVine. I Don’t care if it’s a lateral move, I want off this no trade clause shit now. 2 1st is also okay if we get multiple 2nds back tbh. Beal’s cap hit is just too much of a handicap right now and add that with his NTC, ugh. Time to move on. I understand the trade at the time, but it didn’t work out, need move on asap.

I could get talked into 1 1st being moved to get off Beal or Nurk if it gives us a rotation player.

Bogi don’t help us in anyway.

That fake trade of Nurk and two 1st for Deni and Reath would actually move the needle. That’s was a made up trade but that would be the type of trade I can get behind if we ain’t getting Jimmy.

I get Nurk doesn't have much value and we can't be picky but Bogdonovic wouldn't exactly move me since he's another 6-6 wing. Unless of course, he makes a guy like Allen expendable who can net more in a trade for a legit rotational big. Then it would make more sense to me, even if Bogi is a bit of a downgrade at this point. So it's more like asset reallocation - moving a C for a SG/SF and then moving a redundant SG/SF for possibly a PF.

Trading for another SG would be hilarious…one that is worse than our 3 current SG even.

The downgrade from Allen to Bogi isn't a bit, it's a lot and I don't know who is going to trade a big for a small in regards to acquiring Allen. Just seems like moving pieces to move them.

Well we moved Okogie for Richards. But yea, it does feel like we're just moving pieces around. I think Bogi can bounce back, the Hawks are just as big a mess as we are and Bogi's proven to be a legit shooter. His injury history is scary tho. We just don't have a lot of options when it comes to Nurk.

I’d trade Nurk and a 1st for Kelly Olynyk and Ochoa Agbaji.

Where does that get us, though? Is Kelly Olynyk worth losing a 1st for?
