Sweet! If true we can put all this other speculation to rest
So he’s going to a team he said he wouldn’t extend at?
My prophecy came true, we f’ed it up, 50 pages of chatter for nothing, always bet on worst case scenario with this team.

And we no doubt managed to piss off durant who is already at near peak apathy, with trade rumours . Durant and beals trade value only tanks further at seasons end when we miss the play offs but our social media will look awesome with best buds kd book and a bunch new shoe photos. James jones will get blamed and ultimately fired for not getting butler. Ishbia has no prentice and you Can’t fire the coach again.

Well I don't think I would have wanted to extend late-30s Jimmy Butler at $60m/year, but that's just me.

I don't think KD is pissed off at all. If anyone understands this stuff, it's him.

Maybe he'd be frustrated feeling this team has a low ceiling, but he had the chance to leave if he really wanted it and he clearly doesn't right now.

Cool, so all the talk of jimmy saying no to them was bs. And a rival for the lower playoff seeding just go better. Good going team.

So he’s going to a team he said he wouldn’t extend at?

Yep that is not going to be value for money unless he has one amazing playoff run left in him

You lose very little except money given GSW context. Curry has what, a couple more years? You have seen the roster is play in material or so. Why not take a shot at Butler, if he is the best player you can get after scanning the market. It's just those two years, secondary pieces and a protected pick.

To be clear I do think GSW made a good trade here. They gave up only one protected 1st (!) and some mediocre players, and they got a potential difference maker in Butler. They extend him a few years, fine, it's a lot of money but the contract is not so long. And they can give it one more shot at a run. I think that's a perfectly reasonable trade for them to give Curry one last running mate to try to get another ring. PLEASE NOTE that they did not go "all in" and trade a decade's worth of picks. NOTE!

Shroder's going to Utah, PJ Tucker to Miami and Kyle Anderson was supposed to be going to Toronto but that fell thru?

I like Schroder, but he isn't having a great season. He's averaging 14 and 5, but shooting only 41.8%. And his PPG are misleading because he averaged 18.8 ppg for Brooklyn but only 10 ppg for GSW.
