Clearly our attention was for Jimmy, now that’s not happening, maybe there’s back up Beal plan? My preference is a Grayson trade. I was more picks, need more cheap talented players with promise.Ring_Wanted wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:35 pmLots of combinations if ORL wanted Beal. But I believe if they actually did, he'd be gone by now. Hopefully there is still time to pull something off, but not holding my breath.Wally_West wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:33 pmUse Nurk to go get Portis or Obi?
Would still do Grayson to the Magic for Gray Harris + both of next year’s ‘25 1st
Or Anthony black and a 1st.
Or Beal and 1st for KCP and Isaac

These vets don't deserve to be appeased. Adding a 1stR while cutting salary is good for the short-mid term flexibility. More time for Dunn too, and less clutter if you must keep Beal.
Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
Didn't want Jimmy here, he would've weighed us down and aged us up even more. Let the Warriors have him. We're not going anywhere regardless and might not even be a play-in team. Could see major changes in the offseason.

You can move Allen in the offseason or draft night just the same.Ring_Wanted wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:42 pmThese vets don't deserve to be appeased. Adding a 1stR while cutting salary is good for the short-mid term flexibility. More time for Dunn too, and less clutter if you must keep Beal.

I'm of the opinion that I don't wait if I can get now my targeted price. Why risk it? Injuries, shooting slumps, team performance... too many factors. Is Allen helping us getting anywhere the rest of this season? Don't think so.ShelC wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:43 pmYou can move Allen in the offseason or draft night just the same.Ring_Wanted wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:42 pmThese vets don't deserve to be appeased. Injuries are one thing but everyone in the league knows who and what Grayson Allen is. There's no shooting slump that will change anyone's opinion on him at this point. And while Allen isn't helping us get anywhere, dumping him for picks tells the rest of the team the FO is basically giving up on the season.

I have no problem giving up the season if that's what liquidifying Allen represents, but honestly I don't think that's the case. Like I said, moving Allen (dumping him, in this case) opens up more minutes for Dunn and alleviates the logjam with Beal. Give me that, plus the pick, and I'll see what's best next summer.ShelC wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:50 pmInjuries are one thing but everyone in the league knows who and what Grayson Allen is. Yep. Preach. Solidifies our rotation, helps with draft assets stash after we spend some of it with Nurk.Ring_Wanted wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:56 pmI have no problem giving up the season if that's what liquidifying Allen represents, but honestly I don't think that's the case. Not really…. It’s showing you that they’re forward thinking and too deep at one spot. Kinda makes sense, especially since we’re stuck with Beal.ShelC wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:50 pmInjuries are one thing but everyone in the league knows who and what Grayson Allen is. I'm just glad Butler AIN'T coming to the valley.Ring_Wanted wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:19 pmNot a bad Hail Mary for GSW, but turning Wiggins into Butler is probably just incremental, at least until the playoffs.
Yes I like Butler, but the Suns need more size. Another 35 year old guard wouldn't help.
Phoenix Suns 2025-26 NBA Champions !
Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
Especially with a year player option and 2 years extension. It makes me think that the real reason he wanted Phoenix was because he thought he could get more money from Ishbia. And he took the next best thing in what the Warriors offered him.Uncle_Gene wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 7:46 pmI'm just glad Butler AIN'T coming to the valley.Ring_Wanted wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:19 pmNot a bad Hail Mary for GSW, but turning Wiggins into Butler is probably just incremental, at least until the playoffs.

Yeah or you're shipping out your vets too which they're not doing apparently because we're all up KDs ass like he has a NTC
