I’m old enough to remember people saying on here (2 weeks ago), “At least Ishbia doesn’t attach first rounders just to dump salary, like Sarver did with Kurt Thomas.”
This is not the same thing at all

So we gave up our 2031 first round pick unprotected, just to be able to dump salary (Nurkic).

The Ayton trade just keeps getting even worse.

What? Who said that? Pretty sure that’s common knowledge around here.
Found the post from last month. It was Marty implying that Ishbia doesn’t “trade players with picks simply to get off their salary”:

IMO we have as a franchise been too willing to give away our 1st round picks. Early-era Sarver was the worst, where he'd just literally sell picks for cash or trade players with picks simply to get off their salary (Kurt Thomas). But Late Sarver and now Ishbia are all too willing to throw them around like candy to get trades done.

What the hell are we doing?
Ishbia has a lot of money that he likes to spend and he's always looking to improve the team so we are fine!!!!!

Agree it’s underwhelming…Does Martin do anything for us that Royce doesn’t? Pretty similar sized. Can’t say I know enough about Micic. At least Martin is playable and we gave up that heavily swapped 2026 pick.

I think I would’ve preferred to just hold Nurk and gotten a better player in the summer for his expiring. Might open up a possibility of getting out of the 2nd apron next year…I’ll have to look.

The Suns are too small and need more size. There's got to be another move or two coming.

The ineptitude has officially surpassed the Sarver-era ineptitude.

So, we got even smaller. Cool. I didn't think that was even possible. Can we join a 6'6" and under league? Might as well just sit KD.

Time to start playing the young guys. If this isn't rock bottom, so help us all...

Yea I wonder if Grayson becomes expendable.
He is as long as Beal and Booker remain on the team.

Thought the Martin trade meant a Grayson trade was in the works but the team is done trading. They moved off Nurk, saved some money and that's it.

Well Nurk wasn’t playing so I don’t think we did. Guess it depends on who Martin takes minutes from

Is it possible we might even waive Micic? We have too many guards after this trade.
