Can we just take a second to reiterate how full of shit a lot of these Twitter people were? Particularly fucking Flex from Jersey, who repeatedly posted all his hot air blowing bullshit about trades and how somebody was "coming home" and people talking about Butler and KD and a power forward and who knows what else? These guys don't know shit, they don't have sources. They were dead wrong about the entire trade deadline. Can we please remember that and stop trusting these BS con artists?
Was he not correct about everyone coming home to Phoenix after the road trip?

Wow!!! How hollow became our hopes. Can not watch a single game from now on. Waiting until we blow this shitty team.
This season is over for me. This team is dead to me until further notice

That’s your fault for having irrational hopes in the first place. If you really thought this FO would accomplish anything, you’re either not paying attention or letting your desires dictate your expectations.

KD is a fucking fragile egotistical bitch. He has no problem quitting on a team, leaving them in FA, demanding a trade. But for the first time in his career a team doesn't want him anymore and he's butthurt and interferes to shut it down. Unbelievable. My most hated Sun in many years considering he came in with such high expectations and just completely ruined our culture and trajectory

I guess the underlying hope is for OKC and Houston to have disappointing playoff showings and start making calls for KD.

This is what I am hoping for. Houston comes into the playoffs as a 2 seed, high hopes, but then they get upset by the Wolves, Mavs, whoever, and they decide "We need a star who can get us a bucket in the clutch."

I thought for sure this was going to say “Phoenix Suns.”

His deal with the Boston Celtics is “Sign with Phoenix so we can all have a good laugh. Then we’ll make a reality-based sitcom about it and you can be in it.”

Yea was going to say we may have something brewing in the buyout market. Bojan Bodgonovic? Ben Simmons?
Torey Craig is just sitting there for the taking.

Oh yeah. Suns are going to admit they openly tried and failed to trade their star. Please.

I will say I don’t think the Suns initiated anything about Durant but they probably didn’t say no quite so forcefully in recent days, and would have pulled the trigger on the right deal

Gambo basically said the deal was agreed to. They brought it to KD and be said no…warriors backed out at that point as they weren’t going to trade for a player who didn’t want to be there.

I'm hoping Memphis will come back to the negotiating table in the summer and that they will take a chance on Durant not being sold on playing there. I would love to get Desmond Bane.

I'm very thankful that the KD-Butler nonsense didn't happen, but it's terrifying how determined this front office was to acquire AND PAY that injury-prone, aging clown show. Just mind-boggling.

I had a strong premonition that the Durant trade would destroy the Suns if they couldn't win a title almost immediately. It's happening now.

Terrible, terrible, terrible trade. I wasn't the only one who thought this.

Unpopular idea -- trade Durant. Trade Booker. Keep Beal -- he's not movable and is still a good player in his correct role (Booker's). You can trade him once you've rebuilt his value.

After the Luka fiasco, there's no way you trade Book anytime soon IMO. Even if you got a "haul" for him, I don't think Ishbia wants that on his resume this early in his ownership. And I still think Book has the Kobe thing of wanting to stay with one team his entire career.

I'm curious if there was traction on other trades, specifically frontcourt players. I wonder what Gambo was hearing about power forwards.
