Why does Bud always go to Plumlee at the end of games instead of Richards? I don’t get it.
Plum led us in +/- with +17, followed by Grayson at +12, Bol at +10, and Book at +7. Nick had a team-worst -10.

Plumlee knows the system…I’d guess Richards is still learning quite a bit. Coach is gonna go with the guy he can trust to be where he’s supposed to be

I just don’t trust Plumlee to get those late rebounds.

Hopefully they can build on a win like this one. That was such a fun finish to the game.

Not a bad game to attend, bone!!
It was! Incredible finish and OT (after blown lead). Utah is tall! Great energy in the building tonight. No toxic bench. They all got along great. Both Beal and KD were out there high fiving everybody. I will post pictures tomorrow.

Utah really is tall. In OT we had O’Neale guarding Collins (big height mismatch) and Allen guarding Markkanen (even bigger height mismatch!). But they did just enough to bother their shots and also actually took care of rebounding in OT.

That's good to hear. Hopefully the team pulls together now that the uncertainty of the trade deadline is over.

There's a very real chance of this happening if it will be the players against the entire world. This game just increased the chances of this happening by quite a bit.

Hard to get too excited given it's the Jazz but we were shorthanded and they're a big team. I liked the effort and scrappiness of the team, which is something we don't always see when KD and Beal are out there (that's right I said it!). The energy is just different, the offense really works playing thru Book who seems more at ease being the focal point and trusting the roleplayers around him. We're better with him snaking around and probing off the PnR working into his midrange shot or drawing the defense to open up shots for his teammates. It's not PointBook and it's not KD just ISOing. There's a purpose to what he's doing and it's better for everyone. The offense stalled in the 4th tho and that's where he needs a #2 who can create their own shot. Grayson and Royce can't do that, Tyus certainly can't.

The obvious issues remain - the defense isn't good and we're still getting outrebounded. I've never seen a team get their hands on so many potential rebounds and not actually get the rebound. The transition defense is still bad, even the few times we get back we still give up a layup or dunk. But I do think if you have better players/defenders (not stars) around Book he can carry you every night.

Glad to see Bol step up, Grayson saved us a bunch of times, Royce hit some timely 3s. Wish Richards had more of Bud's trust but there are times he's slow to react or caught out of position and fouls. Plumlee is a better positional defender and better in DHO.

Not falling into any trap of thinking this is a turning point or the team is going to rally. Been there, done that. KD and Beal will get back, we'll lose the hustle and energy plays and get back to stagnant offense.

I saw a notification
UNCUT: End of game with Book thumbnail before I logged on to League Pass

I'm there watching it with Jazz on a ridiculous run and when Collier hits to put them up 4
I'm like wtf man, why use Book as the thumbnail and saying why did I choose to upset myself so early this morning....

Well guess that was some decent entertainment
Have to watch to see Bol's minutes, glad to see how he got some run

It was 116 to 120 with 4 seconds left. Turned it off and went to bed pissed. Wow. WTF.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

We aren't a good team in any configuration. But I just -like- the way the team flows much better when KD and Beal are gone. I wish we had guys like Mikal and Cam still around, guys good enough to support Book but not gum up the offense. And of course I miss CP3 though the elite version of him is long gone.
